My wife and I were given a two night stay as a Christmas from our boys and their families. We arrived mid afternoon and found a wonderful treehouse in the midst of a forest. The town offers a variety of stores to visit and restaurants to eat. We were about three weeks late for the height of fall colors and several of the shops were closed for the season but there was still plenty to do and see. Accommodations were excellent, the cottages comfortable and a fabulous view. This was a much needed getaway and someplace we will visit again soon.

Our recent stay with Treehouse Cottages in their Hidden Oak treehouse was very relaxing. Watching a raccoon empty the birdfeeder, enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony, the privacy, the view, the serenity - all made for a great trip. And, the owners visited with us on the way out. We highly recommend staying at Treehouse Cottages.

My husband and I stayed in the Bungalow. When we walked in, we were WOW. It was beautiful, there was pretty music playing. It was a very romantic getaway. Lots of privacy. We went the first of November and the trees were beautiful. We will definitely recommend this place and we will be back.

This was a charming place to stay with lovely owners to boot. We stayed in the Hidden Oak treehouse where we could watch the active wildlife and enjoy a cup of coffee on the balcony at the height of 26 feet up. Do yourself a favor and stay here, so peaceful, clean and comfortable.

The only downside is the parking. We have an F150 and it barely fit in the parking space allotted.

Room Tip: Recommend Hidden Oak Cottage if you are only a party of two. Plenty of room especially in the whirlp...

We stayed in the Hillside Haven Cottage & loved it! From the moment we walked into the cottage, music was playing, a personal note written from the owners, the stocked fridge with drinks & snacks were a nice touch. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck at night, relaxing in the hot tub looking at the stars & truly enjoying the peace & quiet. The beds were comfortable & we truly enjoyed our stay. The location is close to downtown & right across the road from one of our favorite places to eat BUBBA's!! We will stay here again!!

The Eureka Springs Treehouse Cottages can & do fill up many of their dates months in advance. There is a very good reason for this. The owners run a first class operation with great attention to all the details that make their guests' stay memorable. We stayed in the "Bungalow" cottage for 3 nights, Oct. 1-3. The Bungalow is one of four cottages located a little further from town on a secluded, wooded site & not on the same property with the office & hillside cabins. I would venture to guess that one can not go wrong by renting any of the Treehouse Cottages. After checking in, we drove to our cottage & were greeted by a personal note at the door & music softly playing on the media system inside. The table inside the cute kitchenette was set with glasses & a vase of flowers awaiting our arrival. Like I said, the owners have seen to all of the details of making one's stay memorable in a personal way. Since, we were taking our vacation in Eureka Springs to relax & enjoy the natural wonders of Arkansas, the Treehouse Cottages were the perfect choice for us. Our cottage was extremely clean & provided a us with a lot more room to relax than most hotels. I liked having the large picture windows to look out on the private or steep side of the cabin. Because of the windows, there was a lot of natural light to read if one wished. The owners do try to provide privacy for their guests by not coming inside during one's stay. If a guest wants fresh towels, they can simply leave their dirty towels outside in a basket to be replaced. Our only request was for birdseed for the feeder by the window, which was granted. Another nice perk is the video library located at the office with complimentary videos for the guests to check out . We picked out a couple of movies to watch, after we checked in. Our cottage had a late model Sony flat screen TV. When in season, there is a nice looking fireplace to use, too. Our king sized bed was very comfortable. We did use the wrap around deck with a table & chairs on it to soak up the feeling of being alone in the woods. Well, we were not exactly alone since we did have a steady stream of birds coming to the feeder & squirrels stopping by. It was nice having a place to park our car with little lanterns lighting the path to our cottage door. Those did come in handy as we did come back to the cottage twice in the dark. Once, was after attending the Passion Play on Tuesday & again on Thursday after an evening at the Intrigue Theater in Eureka Springs. I might add, both attractions are well worth doing. One morning, we took the hike down the trail to the springs at the base of the hill. Because of the dry weather, the springs were not active but we enjoyed the walk anyway. We saw a lot interesting little things that made our private walk quite enjoyable. And, like some of the other reviewers, I will note another advantage of staying at the Treehouse Cottages is their central location & convenient access to downtown Eureka Springs. Other places like some of the cabins on Beaver Lake involve more of a drive & lack the convenience we experienced. The weather was good during our stay but if it had rained for a day, staying inside the cottage for the day would have been fine with us. The way each cottage has been constructed is unique & beautiful. If a person is wanting a special experience or get away, the Treehouse Cottages definitely fill the bill. All things must come to an end. We were sad that we had to leave but look forward to returning for another stay in the future!

Room Tip: Check to see if your cottage is "on site" or one of the four cottages "off site"...

Secluded but central to any and all conveniences. So comfortable and pleasurable that we hated to leave to sightsee, but did manage to get to Passion Play road, Thorncrown chapel and toured the downtown streets. Everything was clean, fresh, and inviting when we arrived and we can't wait to go again! Thank you!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Treehouse Cottages, est. 1990, were designed and hand built by owners Terry and Patsy Miller. Eureka Springs’ original treehouses are built on 5 wooden poles 22-26 feet off the ground, nestled in a forest of trees. Two locations provide our guests with different lodging options. In town, 3 treehouses are located on a wooded hillside, completely enveloped in a canopy of hardwood trees, yet only minutes from the historic downtown. There is also a 2 story ground level cottage which overlooks the terraced flower garden, and features a hot tub on its own private deck. Just a mile away at our "hidden forest" location are 4 treehouses tucked away in a 33 acre tall pine forest. The ideal place for complete seclusion, enjoy the canopy of lofty trees amidst the quiet sounds of the woods. ... more   less
