If you're looking for a luxurious setting in a secluded cabin - look no further. There's just something about a cabin (or a cabin suite) on a lake that just sparks romance. However, when looking through several cabin places to stay in the Eureka Springs area - most of them are very rustic, rural country decor or frilly Victorian country decor and that's just not our style. When we escape for the weekend, we want to be pampered.
Our first choice was the private cabins, but it was short notice and those were taken, so we opted for a private lakefront suites which was perfectly fine. Even more than I expected.
Service: Top notch. You are greeted warmly and they give you a manual which explains their policies, boat dock, swimming, fishing, how to control the TV satellite, DVD, stereo, etc. No need to rent or bring DVD's with you - they are fully stocked with hundreds of the latest titles (and older ones too) and covering multiple genres, horror, comedy, drama, thrillers, etc.
Amenities: Complimentary plush robes, large thick towels, high thread count egyptian cotton sheets, superior mattress, luxurious matelasse coverlet, plenty of fluffy pillows, exquisite decor. They thought of everything. When sitting in the chairs watching a movie, I thought a lap blanket would be nice - and wahlah, there was a chenille throw draped across the back of my husband's chair. Gourmet coffee beans and a coffee grinder - with a brush to quickly whisk out the remains. Complimentary bubbly in the refrigerator, bath salts for the jacuzzi, even make-up remover towlettes and spa quality shampoo and conditioner.
The scene out the window near our bed was simply breathtaking in the morning - the sun rising over Beaver Lake, low lying fog, a lone fisherman - bliss.
The people who run this place don't miss anything and haven't skimped on anything. High end faucets and bathroom fixtures, sleek window shades that practically disappear when raised, beautiful stacked stone fireplace, wonderfully stocked kitchen, sleek stainless steel outdoor grill - all you need is food and beverages to stay inside comfortably for days! Fortunately Eureka Springs is a short 10 minute drive from the cabins, complete with a fun, steep and curvy dirt road!
We can't wait to go back and try out one of the cabins!
