A bed and breakfast with a touch of elegance, refinery and gourmet breakfast that I would give 5 stars all around. It was the perfect retreat for my 31st birthday. We were welcomed with relaxing sounds of nature upon our late arrival, a mini-fridge with a few treats and midnight snacks from the “elf”. When the morning rose, we were brought a delectable breakfast that could be easily be served in a five star, gourmet restaurant. (We were served with another one upon the morning of our departure.)
We stayed in the Emily Dickinson suite, which was quiet and very private. We had our own “sunroom” where we indulge in coffee, teas and hot chocolate! The suite was filled with antiques and there were beautiful stain-glass windows. The touch of adding her books, especially the biographies, were a delight addition to our stay. The bed itself was large and comfortable as well as the bathroom, which held a Jacuzzi. A wonderful way to relax after a long day of shopping!
I adore the Victorian era and to have stayed in an inspiring suite was such a thrill. Upon checkout we were able to visit with the gracious hostess and host. I was sad to leave…We will definitely be back when we visit Eureka Springs again!
Thank you so much for a memorable weekend! We wish you good luck with your business and many blessings!

Room Tip: I have no doubt there is a suite that will suit your personality!

Thanks, Rachelle, for your very sweet words. I'm so glad you had a happy birthday even though you didn't let us know. If we had known, we would have "sent in the clowns"!
Here's to many many more happy birthdays! Emily Dickinson also joins us in sending greetings!

We were looking for a place to stay for a visit with our goddaughter who attends the University of Arkansas. Arkansas was hosting a football game that weekend playing Texas A & M and we were challenged with finding a hotel nearby. Through conversations with friends and family, we discovered this quaint little historic town of Eureka Springs which ended up being a lovely 1 hour drive from the university. This stay far exceeded our expectations. Through a search of bed and breakfast accommodations, we were drawn to Cliff Cottage Inn by its convenient location to the main street of the historic downtown area. We selected Robert Louis Stevenson Suite because of its large private porch facing the downtown area. The room was spacious, comfortable and very quiet inside, even on a bustling Saturday night. The very best part of the stay were the breakfasts. The innkeepers, Sandra and Carl, spent lots of thought and preparation into the breakfast food served in the mornings. And, the food was delivered to our suite which was very appealing to us. Most importantly, the food was fantastic - Sandra is an excellent chef! As for the town, there is a lot of quality shops worth visiting. And the restaurant selection are vast considering the size of the town. Sandra and Carl were very helpful on describing and suggesting locations for dinner. I would recommend Cliff Cottage Inn to everyone and a visit to Eureka Springs is worth a stop. - Dave and Patty, Indianapolis

It's always thrilling for us when visitors discover our magical little village for their first time and especially when they find our inn! We totally appreciate the kind comments about our breakfasts and so happy the guests enjoyed the stay in their suite! We aim to please! :)

We were so thrilled with this lovely and quaint bed and breakfast. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. We were welcomed by our congenial hosts, Sandra and Carl, who also answered our questions about activities, sightseeing and dining. A delicious gourmet breakfast was delivered each morning after which we set out to see all we could see. What a great location! From just across the street, we walked down the steps to find ourselves on Main Street right at the Trolly Station. For a $6 ticket, we could ride all four routes and see all of Eureka Springs with an easy hop on/hop off feature that was good all day. The drivers were very friendly and helpful..... even suggesting we ride up the street and get off at stop number 83 so we can shop walking downhill! Be sure to visit Thorncrown Chapel and the Passion Play. Staying at Cliff Cottage Inn was a real plus for our visit.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful and quiet.

Thanks, Cindy, for the lovely review. I'm SOOOO glad you were able to take advantage of Eureka's trolley system as that way, you get to see a lot in a short time. Carl and I appreciate knowing that you enjoyed the breakfasts and the suite! Have a wonderful Autumn!

We stayed at the Cliff Cottage for a weekend get away. My husband and I had never been to Eureka Springs and wanted to have a convenient place to stay while there. The Emily Dickenson Suite was perfect! It was quiet and very private. We were not only greeted by a chilled bottle of wine, but midnight snacks, chocolate, and a truly remarkable breakfast! Sandra is a fantastic cook and hostess and Carl is a gracious and thoughtful elf! We will return. The location is super with easy parking. We loved our morning walks along the streets and our evening strolls after dinner. Kudos to you both! Kathie and Bill

Room Tip: We preferred the emily Dickenson suite as it was in the back of the unit. Very peaceful and private...

K&B: So tickled you loved the suite and your breakfasts. Cooking is now the only vice I have, having given all the rest up (except, of course, for chocolate!). Carl and I so enjoyed meeting you two lovebirds! We'll have to check out some of the places you mentioned in the Lone Star State!

We love staying at B&Bs & Cliff Cottage Inn has definitely moved to the top of our list.
We thought we had the friendliest people in Texas but Sandra and Carl could teach classes on "how to make your guests feel at home". They are so gracious. Sandra created the most delicious breakfasts the 2 days stayed. The wine chilling in the fridge when we arrived, the yummy cookies on the side table in the living room, the chocolates on the bed, the special toiletries in the bath area all made our stay so special. The Sarah Bernhardt suite was large and comfy. It was our first trip to Eureka Springs so Sandra's emails prior to our trip with restaurant and things to do suggestions were very helpful. I'm reading Sandra's cookbook/adventure book currently. What a life Sandra has experienced. Thanks Sandra & Carl for sharing your lovely cottage and your lives with us.

We stayed at the Cliff Cottage Inn during the 2013 Bikes Blues and BBQ event held in Fayetteville. I had never stayed at a B&B before and didn't know what to expect. The Hosts have set the bar high for the next one we stay at. If you are going to spend overnight around Eureka Springs I highly recommend this location. The parking was wonderful and within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. We were able to park our motorcycle under the covered parking area, and never worried about it when we went into town. This was also nice when the "freak" summer storm blew in. The hosts were wonderful, the food was fantastic, the location was awesome. Bottom line is this: We will be back!!!

This past weekend was the Bikes, Blues, Booze weekend in Fayetteville and everyone at the inn had fun watching all the cycles coming and going. I was glad I thought of moving my jeep out of the carport so our guests on motorcycles could have covered parking. Should have thought of this long ago as now when we have guests on motorcycles, they won't have to worry about storms or wiping off the morning dew and we get to look at these gorgeous "machines" all weekend...Carl wants a motorcycle now! :)

We once again had the wonderful experience of staying at the Cliff Cottage Inn, in wonderful Eureka Springs, Arkansas, this September 2013. We stayed there in September 2011, after visiting Eureka Springs many times, and staying in various places. It will supercede any of your highest expectations of what a Bed and Breakfast is all about. The owners and chefs, Sandra and Carl the (Elf) are lovely people, that greet you with their warm smiles and open arms. We stayed the first time in Colettes Mini Suite, while my mother from England stayed in the Henry David Thoreau suite. After that first visit, we talked about it all the way home, and enjoyed reading all the stories and fabulous recipes, in Sandras book, "A cooks tour of Epicuria" that we purchased upon our departure as we wanted to find the recipe of our morning breakfast that was served to our room. I have tried many of the recipes and they are fantastic, and often served during your stay at Cliff Cottage Inn. The rooms are absolutely wonderful, decorated beautifully, with lovely little cookies and little mini chocolate candies. Wine, Champagne or Sparkling Juice are awaiting your arrival in your room. My boyfriend, Mike and I enjoyed the room so much this time, that after shopping in town we returned in the late afternoon, and never left until the following day. It afforded us the opportunity to visit on our balcony against the lovely rock cliffs. This visit we stayed in the Henry David Thoreau suite, and it was marvelous. We are looking forward to returning in November for our 3rd stay. I recommend to everyone to give this lovely bed and breakfast a try, you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!

It is always heart-warming to see a guest return to the inn for another stay. We're so glad Sandie and Mike had fun and enjoyed their "tucked-away" suite nestled into the rock bluff.
We're especially thrilled when a guest buys a copy of my cookbook-memoir, "A Cook's Tour of Epicuria...One Woman's Adventures (now available on Amazon or from the inn directly). We always tell the guest we give online support for any recipe they are doing that is starting to look a bit weird. :)
