1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa
Ranked #10 of 35 Hotels in Eureka Springs

My dad and I went on our annual "Father and Son" trip and decided Eureka Springs was our city for 2014. First, let me say, Eureka Springs is Awesome! We stayed at the Crescent on our first night and I truly expected the hotel to be an old run down heap. I was dead wrong. The hotel is old, no doubt about that but it was absolutely beautiful. The outside was spooky and mysterious, for sure, but it was truly a beautiful place. The lobby was old looking but it appeared that they are looking to keep it as authentic as possible and the place looks like it probably did in 1886. To me, that is awesome! Our room was comfortable and clean. The room was cool and refreshing. We took the ghost tour at 830pm and it was fun and informative. I am bringing my wife in October for our 6 year anniversary and we look forward to how much more beautiful it will be in the fall!

The staff were quite friendly and helpful with information about the town and how to get around. The room was nice and quiet. We had a room with a king size bed, room wasn't quite big enough for the bed, hardly any room to walk around. The 1886 steakhouse restaurant at the hotel was overpriced and the waiter didn't inform us of the wine specials. We read on the hotel activities after dinner that Monday night was half price bottle wine night. Spent $24 on 3 glasses of wine when we could have purchased a bottle for aboot $15. I know they are trying to make money but that information would have made for a happier guest. The guy that seated us at the restaurant was clueless of the menu and specials, we thought the waiter said soup or salad was included with the special entrée for the evening when I couldn't find the waiter I asked the host but he didn't know and I had to ask him to get the waiter. Anyway no real complaints, charming hotel and grounds around the hotel. There is a little walking path where we saw a family of deer & lightening bugs, that was cool. Have to say again that the staff was really helpful.

This hotel is like a trip back in time, but with all the modern conveniences and luxuries. The activities on the grounds are fun and interesting, and the food at the Sunday Brunch is spectacular. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a truly unique experience.

Room Tip: If you want an eerie experience, request one of the haunted rooms. The rooms on the lower floors are...

Just returned from a weekend stay with a ten year old for the "haunted" experience. That was the best part of the stay. They do a great job with the Ghost Tour and the staff is very accommodating. The hotel has not received enough TLC and it shows throughout the entire building. It is not worth $200 a night. The beds were comfortable but the room was shabby and the furnishings were old and very worn. the bathroom was fine and updated. Stay if the haunted thing is of interest to you, otherwise there are plenty of other options in Eureka that are much nicer and interesting in other ways.

Room Tip: The 4th floor is the top floor so we did not hear people walking over us. I suspect the lower floor...

Loved the elegant old hotel. The ghost tour was fun and informative. Captured some oddities on our pictures. Took the tour in July, but can imagine how awesome the view will be when the leaves change. We will be back for the awesome view in the fall!

I had wanted to stay at this hotel for years-the grounds are beautiful but our room on the third floor facing the court year was liken to a small dark closet. I wouldn't stay there again as a don't know way the ghosts stay! The staff was "cool" not especially helpful with any local information. again. I was disappointed. Another reason I would not go there again is the motorcycle and their noise.

Enjoyed our two nights in this historic hotel. Pleasant and comfortable. 2 breakfasts were included in the cost and the buffet was satisfactory and the made to order omelets were excellent. Nice pool area, although the hot tub wasn't working while we were there. Nice getaway.

Room Tip: Didn't realize it was a "haunted" hotel when we booked and would not have wanted to st...
