This hotel is in a great location with wonderful views over the beautiful lake. It's in a very quiet spot in the middle of nowhere but if you have a car or bicycle it's easy to reach a couple of lovely little villages. Rooms are spacious enough and adequately furnished, though simple. The bathroom was clean and had a shower over the bath, though it didn't stretch high enough to stand under properly, so hair washing had to be done in a strange crouching position. No hairdryer. The hotel has wireless internet, which is switched off in the evening, and is only accessible in the reception area. The swimming pool is away from the main hotel which means the rooms are not bothered with noise from the pool (not that it was ever noisy or busy anyway), and the views from the pool are also lovely, over the lake.
Breakfast was fine, nice bread and croissants but dinner was disappointing. The mid price menu that was part of our package was limited and didn't appeal at all to my (admittedly unadventurous) tastes - gizzards and liver as well as steak with blue cheese. I mostly ordered from the a la carte menu but never really had anything great. Every night brought the same overcooked brown French Fries and vegetable mush as an accompaniment to the meat. It was a shame as such a great view from the restaurant could have made it a really spectacular dinner. That said, the restaurant seemed to be popular as it was always very busy.
One small tip - if you waken in the night, go out on your terrace and look at the stars. It's so dark here you get treated to great night skies.
