we simply loved this outstanding B & B . We really do a lot of travelling and have seen quite a number of nice places. This was the best ever. Not perfect in a technical sense but in hospitality, charme and taste a cear ten out of ten. Expect to live in a beautifully refurbrished village town house with only a few rooms, all full of exceptional art as Kamilla, the owner has
a gallery. Have a sumptuos breakfast in the garden (lots of art again) and
enjoy one of the last few villages with not as many tourist as elswhere in Provence. We will be back.

We stayed for a weeding two nights at this hidden gem of the Provence. It's like living in an art gallery! A very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, the art pieces are all extremely interesting and fitting the place. The service is discrete and very friendly: you really feel at home. It is definitively worth to come here.

In Saignon, a little hill village 4 km near Apt, you'll find the traces of tourism as in all nice old Luberon villages but still parts of more authentic atmosphere remained. Especially in the old mansion "chambre avec vue" with contemporary art all over the house and a nice walled garden with fruit trees.
3 rooms for 2 persons (one of them a twin bed, the others with a bed of 1,40 m) with there own bathrooms (2 of them on the other side of the corridor - these beeing larger, with more space for pieces of art) - all with their special colour scheme and pieces of contemporary art.
2 suites: one in the main house, with large living and sleeping room with twin, 2 armchairs, table with 4 chairs and large window to the garden, nice little kitchen with window in marroce style and wide bathroom with tube - and art. The other a house in the garden, ground floor a large bedroom with large windows to a little street, a bathroom with shower and upstairs a kitchen with table. A walled garden with fruit trees, pieces of art and view to the middle age church. Breakfast with baguette, homemade jam (strawberries with romarin f.ex.), muesli, yoghurt, a variety of fruit, juice, coffee, tea - nicely arranged on the wooden "breakfast" table.
The objects of art and surprising, but well-chosen combinations of colours give the house an unforgettable and at the same time cosy atmosphere. A house not to be missed.

Room Tip: The Studios, only 20 Euros more expensiv (inclusiv breakfast), offer much more room, independence an...

This was a charming place and we had a lovely stay. It is nice and beautiful, cozy and warm. The owner was nice and friendly and recommended us places we could see and things we could do. There are two lovely dogs Chai and Hercules, the lovliest and friendliest dogs ever. The house was like a piece of at itself and everything was cured to details. There was a lovely garden too, where we had breakfast. I totally reccomend it to anyone who wants a nice place to stay in saignon.

If you are looking for a small hotel that exudes charm, this is the place. The minute we stepped into the entry hall, we felt transported into another world. Tiny paintings of the Luberon lay drying on the entry desk. The old mansion is a maze of stairs and pathways with art installations everywhere. The back garden is a delightful place to relax or have breakfast. We loved the array of breakfast items. The rooms are simple and modest, bathrooms are transported from another era, sometimes they're across the hall. If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place. If you are looking for an artistic adventure, you should come here. This is in no way, a hotel experience. From what we could tell, this is an art gallery with room for budding artists with potential. If there are vacant rooms available, they also rent them to tourists. We plan to return and hopefully add some art installations of our own.

Need a phone? forget it. They have theirs, but they aren't going to share. There is not one phone in this art galery for YOU!

Need an internet connection? Forget it, sme as above.

Maybe a shower? Doesn't look too promising as there is no curtain or showerhead. Hey. Marie Antoinette did it, so can you! The towels are old and thin, and huge. Useless.

Why bother to straighten up your room. You are just an inconvenience!

This place saves on electricity-- the Art is sometimes lit, but not your way. It is dark and hazzardous.

The breakfast is ok, if you don't mind cold coffee--there are thermos containers that aren't. And if you don't take it, you are still charged for it. Who is working for whom here?

And finally, they demand cash--creating a mighty disturbance at the end of your stay. Ever hear of PayPal? Hundreds of Euros of cash?

My impression,: They want your help paying the mortgage, but you're just an inconvenience. Stay at the captivaing Auberge des Presbyteer sp? just down the street.
Presbyteer is the one with the nice personnel, who help you with your calls, your internet, and your Paris booking issues. Lovely people. Stay away from this place.
