Germany really did a great job with this museum. Enough of the camp was preserved to give a sense of the realities faced here. The museum was incredible! Very thorough, very informative, and very honest. It's a hard history to face, but it's done here and done so very well. We spent three hours and could have used a little longer, but it started to rain too hard. It is something that shouldn't missed. Our 14 year old son loved it. Our 12 year old daughter, not so much: too much reading, she said.

A very interesting and moving experience. You will have a chance to see some of the barracks, the crematorium, the bunker and the roll-call area. Plan on spending several hours here, there is a lot to look at and it's a very large place. Once inside the museum, there is almost too much to look at and to read, it's a little over whelming.

the Germans did a nice job of giving you an idea of how horrific the Dachau concentration camp was. This is a short train ride from Munich. If you are traveling on the weekend make sure to check where the train departs from as it is different than weekdays.

What a moving presentation & expereince - if you are in the area, you need to set aside a day to visit this memorial site. It will grip you like nothing you have every experienced! I highly recommend you sign up for a walking tour at the visiting center - well worth the small price they charge. I've been there three times now and I learn something new each time.

Visited while on holiday in Munich. Very easy to get to with the metro and bus. Was interesting but had so many writing and facts that filled every room. Would be better if there was more realism to it. Very open but chilling..
