If you do not know better, then you might think this is how is should be. The good idea is that they have many typical Icelandic dishes, but they are not done as we Icelander would say "It's not like my Grandmother would have done it" Even the "kæfa" that is without any exemption, a thick liver pat's, was something thin and badly-tasting mouse. The only good thing was the "Hverabrauð" a speciality bread baked in the heat from the hot springs.
The service was very clumsy and un-professional. There was only one table when we came into the restaurant, but we were pointed at a table on the middle of the floor. I asked if we could sit by the window. There was on table there, that had not been cleaned. We were seated there, and brought clean table ware, but the table was never cleaned. .
