“Best place. Perfect setting for nature and romance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013 via mobile

Cosy place that is only accessible via a small country road. The owners build their own sauna, geothermal pool and also make breakfast for us. They have an English bulldog that adds to the charm. The bed and room is so comfortable.

Well, i remember that we were the first guests (last year in may) when this wonderful place opened the doors for foreign tourists for the first time. Some small things were still in the making when we stayed there but in fact, this was given the place a special charm....(and the owner and his dog were just as great, sympathic and iclandic as it can get i suppose)! We like it to have things simple and this place was just hitting the spot right away!
It is a very nice and quiet place, perfectly located for (day) trips to many of iceland attractions. The house(s) is (are) clean and simple by nature but very beautyful and cosy. We were not looking for the luxury end, and this place is (was) cheap compared to most others and had the best value for the money spendt.
We had the place all to our self (first guests) so we enjoyed our good selfs, relaxing the way we like it....just perfect.
It is suitable for families or groups as well as for lone travelers or pairs. If you`re planning to go to Iceland we can just recommend this place from all our heart, we will go there again when we visit the Sagaøya.

I highly recommend staying here for quiet travelers who are looking for some nature and relaxation. We already can't wait to go back! My husband and I absolutely loved staying here for a night on our honeymoon trip around Ring Road. We felt like we were on a retreat...we only wished we had stayed at least two nights instead of one!

The Nature Spa guesthouse has a modern cabin flair to it and is situated in a beautiful "secret garden like" setting not too far from Gulfoss and Geysir. It was very quiet and we really enjoyed the geothermal pools out back as well as the sauna and full communal kitchen. This accommodation is perfect for people who want some peace and quiet in a lush and quaint environment.

*I must add that the owner, Valur, is one of the kindest individuals we've met. I left my jacket at the hotel at the beginning of our trip. Valur was kind enough to offer to drive my jacket to our hotel in Reykjavik free of charge.

Room Tip: The top floor rooms are wonderful if you can get one. They each have a skylight, and you can open th...

It's a nice small guesthouse in the middle of nowhere. Small rooms and a shared kitchen and living room. Unfortunately there is nothing to eat here (no breakfast, no drinks) We came right from the airport, were hungry and thirsty and had not done any shopping yet. We had to go to a little cafe 5 km ahead for dinner. (Which was fine) The swimming pool outside is nice and hot, the owner is friendly and we were satisfied.

The Nature-Spa Guesthouse offers its guests a warm and welcoming ambiance in and around the guesthouse which is located close to major touristic spots such as Geysir and Gulfoss.
The price is (for Icelandic relations) okay and even a swimming pool and a sauna are part of the guesthouse.

However there are some disadvantages:

- no internet available
- If the guesthouse is fully booked (9 persons per hut !), space for each guest will be quite limited.
- Rooms downstairs are too small. Even a bag cannot be stored in the room.
- Location is "in the middle of nowhere". Road to get there is very bad and it might be better to have a jeep than a normal car.
- TV has only one icelandic channel.
- Loose handling about keys for the rooms and the hut might irritate guests.
- Showers are outside of the hut.

For one night it is okay. If you would like to enjoy the silence of the surrounding then it is important that the guesthouse is not full booked or you are part of a bigger group.
