Very good. Nice room, good breakfast with good choice. And a hotwater tub in the back. Would be a good base for exploring the South Coast, we stayed only one night unfortunately. The immediate surroundings are normal farm land and there are some animals on the farm itself.

We've spent two nights at Lambastadir and can only recommend it! Really nice breakfast buffet, hot pot in the backyard to relax after a busy day, friendly hosts and clean rooms with comfy beds. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 adult daughters and 2 friends. The 3 rooms were all of the same quality - simple but spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We arrived just after 9 pm and were given a warm welcome with tea and homemade cookies. The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice and batter to make your own waffles.
We slept very well and it was so nice to have the peace and quiet of the countryside.
The location is perfect for exploring the south of Iceland and so nice to be able to end the day relaxing in the hot tub.
Would definitely recommend and great value for money.

Lambastadir Guesthouse is simply fabulous!! The rooms were basic but pleasant. Located in the middle of a farmland, this B&B is a perfect place to spot the Northern Lights, away from the city lights. And even if you don't spot the lights, you can enjoy the amazing geothermal hot tub under the open skies. Relaxing in the hot tub, with the view of the Arctic horses grazing in the vicinity and a beautiful sunset, was definitely a highlight of our trip. The breakfast was delicious and the owner seemed like a nice man. I would love to stay here again!

Room Tip: It doesn't matter which room you chose. All rooms have same view and you cannot see the northern...

No TV and that is a bonus! Easy to find as one leaves Selfoss towards direction of Vik, sign on roadside giving warning of turnoff to the farm 800 meters away. Small reception area big enough to take your shoes off, that's how it is, no boots in the house, and the floors are as clean as the rest of the place. Simple rooms ultra clean, free wi fi in rooms for going onto internet. Coffee and tea making in dining room at end of corridor. Birds that squeak as they fly is the only noise. Great hotelier who will sit down with you to advise routes and places to see. Selfoss is only 5 min drive away for food. Go to the local swimming pool, ask for directions. 600 ISK per adult with very hot tubs, not so hot tubs and cooler hot tubs. Also adults lounge in the children's pool with a plastic mushroom as it's a Goldilocks temperature. Plenty of free parking at pool. There is also a Hot tub outside of the accommodation which is warm, one merely unclips the cover should you wish to look at sheep in an aquatic environment. Breakfast at the guesthouse is very good and you can have a go at making waffles in the waffle machine. Stayed two nights and would return. As soon as I recover from the bashing my bank account took as a result of wandering around The south of Iceland. Good value accommodation.

We stayed here for one night as we drove around Iceland. Room was spotless and breakfast was tasty. The owners were very nice and had animals on the premises - horses, sheep and a small dog who was very friendly with the guests! Highly recommended!

We stayed here for one night when touring the golden circle.
The rooms were functional and spotlessly clean.
There are no in room tea facilities but the owners leave out tea and coffee in the main are - plus delicious home made biscuits to tide you over. Breakfast was good with frshly laid eggs and home made jam.
The owners were lovely and took us to see the sheep who were ready for lambing and told us all about the local area.
I would recommend this place for an overnight stay and would definately stay again
