Family of 7 stayed in the house for a week. We were met by the owner and he gave us a very good few suggestions of places to visit and tips around them including the Cliffs and viewing points.
House was well presented, spacious and clean. It also had everything that was needed.
Shop at nearby garage, great beaches nearby and a perfect central location to travel Donegal and surrounding counties.
We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.
The house looks onto the main road however there isn't any noise issue and there is off road parking and a large metal gate that provides a safe environment for any children in the yard. It backs onto farm land and there were sheep in the rear field at the time of our stay.
Again met by owners the evening before we left who were very keen to ensure that the house was as we had wanted.
Have just returned from an amazing week Cottage was lovely better than pictures. So quite and we'll maintained. Locals very friendly and welcoming . Would highly recommend this cottage.
Property is not as advertised. The front garden is not fully enclosed and therefore dangerous for young children - we had three between us!. The furniture in the living areas was old and dirty and the floral suite in the pictures was particularly dirty. We didn't use this room at all as it smelled musty. I had to clean the kitchen on arrival - there was food burned on the hob; the oven hadn't been cleaned; there were dead flies in the freezer; microwave had food splashes; high chair had to be scrubbed and I would consider the cot provided to be unsafe. In addition, I found dried food on the plates in the cupboard so had to load the dishwasher. Given the concern regarding the cot we asked the owner to provide an alternative. He provided a travel cot which wasn't particularly clean. Given the cost of the week's accommodation I expected the place to be spotless and my one regret is that I didn't call the owner to come and clean the house. We had travelled for hours to get to Rossnowlagh and were very disappointed. I wouldn't recommend the house to anyone in it's current condition, however, if the owner spent some time fixing the problems e.g. downstairs bathroom smelled of urine; cold tap in the en-suite didn't work; stains on the bath in the main bathroom - it would be a good place to stay given its size and location. The kitchen is well equipped, however, everything is old and dated. I did complain to Imagine Ireland (we booked our holiday through them) after our holiday, however, they weren't interested in dealing with the complaint.
