“Beautiful, homely, friendly very Relaxing”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

We stayed here for a week and loved very minute of it. After a hectic work schedule this is an oasis of relaxation. The views of the lake and mountains are breathtaking. Even though wi-fi only works in the conservatory it is wonderful as it just means you have to relax. While there we did lots of walking. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is formal but beautiful. Staff are very helpful and attentive without being obtrusive.

Loved it here - we will defiantly be back

We have just returned from a fabulous trip around Ireland and Rosleague Manor was one of the highlights. We unfortunately only spent one night at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived we loved the place. From the road you enter a tree lined long driveway to the Manor house. It is stepping back in time with a modern touch. We were greeted warmly and shown to our gorgeous Junior suite which was elegant and well appointed. From our window we looked out across the gardens to bay. Later we wandered through the gardens and the forest.
In the evening we had drinks in the conservatory bar area which was comfortable and elegant. The dining room was out of this world, as was the food. In the morning breakfast was served in the dining room and it was excellent, not something that we found much in Ireland.
If you have the opportunity, spend at least two nights so that you can really enjoy the property and the local area.
We will never forget Rosleague Manor and a big thank you to Mark and his small team.

Room Tip: Make sure you dine with them. You will not be disappointed.

We just spent two great days staying in Rosleague Manor, the setting is fantastic, the staff are so friendly, natural and ready to do anything for you in a lovely relaxed manner. We spent our days out and about doing activities so it worked for us to dine in the hotel every evening, this was a feast of fabulous food, especially the lobster, crab and scallops which are all grown locally. They kept apologising that we got the smallest room as we booked so late, we though our room was huge!!! We will be back

We spent one night at Rosleague Manor, it was recommended to us and what a fantastic recommendation it was.

The Manor sits overlooking the bay with stunning views, it is surrounded by forest and the serenity is breathtaking. The room we had was spacious and beautifully appointed. The service on check in was friendly and efficient.

The restaurant and bar area's are simply spectacular, while the food was outstanding, that combined with the warm and friendly service at both dinner and breakfast made our stay at Rosleague Manor an experience we will always remember,

Room Tip: The front rooms give spectacular water views, the rear rooms have beautiful garden views.

This was a family affair. The hotel was taken over by the wedding party for two days. Everything we asked for was provided with a "no problem" and a smile. The facilities were first class for an intimate wedding. The rooms were outstanding, the majority being suites. The food was fantastic - fresh and local. All in all a fabulous hotel set in stunning surroundings.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of the house for the views.

We spent a very relaxing weekend here, the setting is beautiful. Our room (14) was right at the top of the house, and it wasn't a room, it was a suite! Double aspect windows with beautiful views, comfy seating area, separate walk in closet & enormous bathroom. Yes, the plumbing requires a bit of patience, but that's what you get in an old country house.
We were mostly disappointed with the food; most of the main courses were over cooked (as well as the breakfast scrambled egg) & when my husband sent back his duck breast we were made to feel very uncomfortable for complaining. Nice cold selection at breakfast, but no juice - you were served 1 glass, and there was no water provided either.
Our package included free bike hire on the Saturday, but we didn't know they were available til the evening when the owner asked us how our bike ride had been! We'd spoken the lady in charge 3 times that morning, and not once did she mention the bikes were there for us, which was rather annoying. Instead we walked up diamond hill, which was a lovely walk, quite steep in places but the views were worth it.

Edited to add: Following our stay and this review, the owners took the trouble to contact us & explore further into our issues. They were clearly frustrated that they didn't meet their own exacting standards, were very open and saw this as a way to keep improving. How refreshing it is to see someone take so much care over their business & it's reputation.
While my initial review ended with "Nice hotel, not worth the amount we paid for it", I would now end it with " Nice hotel, great customer service".
