We arrived to find coal in the fireplace, peat blocks in a basket on the hearth and tea, coffee, milk etc in the fridge/kitchen. There were toys for children in the cottage and instructions for using the various appliances were in place. The owners attended from their home 6 miles away to respond personally to guidance sought and again to say goodbye at the end of our visit. We had with us my wife's elderly aunt and uncle (95 and 90) and the ground floor bedroom and bathroom would have suited them well but they opted for the upstairs ensuite instead. The Connemara Loop is rightly famous for its beauty, the people for their friendliness and the food for its quality. We will visit again and would choose to return to this property when we do.
