“Our Wedding in The Keadeen Hotel”
Reviewed 26 March 2008

We booked our Wedding in 2005, for Aug 2007. From the moment we booked our Wedding, Pauline Barry the wedding coordinator was great. She was very helpful & had great patience. We met with Anna & also Joe O'Gorman, who was great, he gave us lots of advice on what to do & what not to do.
On the day its self, Joe & the staff were there to meet us with champers, they did not leave our side, at one stage I had no glass in my hand & one of the ladies went off to get me a drink. We sat down at 5.30 to our meal, which was slightly ealrlier than planned, but I think this suited everyone. The service was perfect, the food lovely, we had a choice of beef or turkey & ham. The dessert was lovely, mini desserts on one plate. I asked for pink flowers for the top table & they were so pretty. The staff were always checking with us to make sure that myself & my husband were happy. The gardens are lovely, the rooms are nice. The evening time was also great, the food was placed on each table, so no one actually had to get up, tea's & coffee's also. Overall, I could not fault this hotel one bit, they made our day & all our guests had a ball & enjoyed the food. The staff are very friendly & nothing was to much for them from the moment we booked it.
A great day & night had by all.
Donna White & Dermot Lynch.

Stayed here for a weekend for a family wedding. Cant fault the hotel at all. We were first given a very old room but when we requested a room change the receptionist was very nice and we got a room in the new part of the hotel. The room was much better and everything was spotless. The bathroom was lovely also.

We ordered breakfast in bed both mornings and they arrived on time each morning. The wedding was lovely also and food was served very quickly and was very nice. It was a lovely day also and the gardens out the front were excellent to enjoy the weather.

Ate in the restaurant on Friday and it was beautiful. The waiter (an indian guy, I forget his name) who served us was excellent also.

All in all we had a lovely stay and would definately go back. This is
a very well run hotel.

We have just returned from spending the weekend at the Keadeen and couldn't praise it enough. We paid a little extra for a deluxe room and as we brought our 4mth old baby with us we felt we needed the extra space. The staff here are something else - they couldn't do enough for us. The food in the dining room was excellent and as for breakfast it was served the way I prefer it, you can have as much or as little as you like. Unlike other hotels that we have stayed in, the cooked items were replenished constantly and anything that looked remotely overcooked was taken away. I made an appointment with the beautician for a massage on the Saturday morning and I have to say I was thrilled that I had, not only did she do wonders for my back but she was so nice and friendly. There were weddings on Friday and Saturday but we commented on the fact that you would never know there was a function going on as it did not take over the hotel. It's only about five minutes in the car to the new shopping centre and less than ten to the National Stud which is lovely for nice walks. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely intend returning.

Very nice hotel with a lovely atmosphere, good facilities and even though we went for the Punchestown Festival the rate was only E215 inc. breakfast. Good staff and facilities. Restaurant excellent for dinner but bar meals also good and much cheaper. Following on from other comment about hot breakfast items not cooked to order, the buffet was regularly topped up so nothing was stale or dried up.
Newbridge is fast expanding and a new shopping mall is nearly completed and is an easy drive from the airport.

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend break in the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge. We got a great deal through their website, 139 euro each for two nights bed and breakfast and an evening meal with wine.
The restaurant was excellent. Nicely laid out with very friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent with a wide menu choice. The lesuire facilities include a gym, pool, sauna and steam room. There is a nice cosy bar which serves and excellent lunch and also a drawing room with comfy sofas and fires.
The room itself was very spacious and included a sitting area with sofa and chairs with footstools.
My only gripe was that breakfast was not cooked to order, rather the eggs, bacon etc were set out in silver containers. That aside we really enjoyed the hotel and found it great value.
The hotel is busy with lots of functions and weddings going on, however we found that the place never seemd packed and the functions rooms were tucked away so no noise was heard.
Newbridge itself is nothing special but there are plenty of shops and bars, cafes if you fancy a wander. Further afield there is the national stud and japaneese gardens and the greyhound and horse racing stadiums.
I would recommend the keadeen if you fancy a break away that is not that active, ie you are happy to have a swim, read the papers by the fire and enjoy some good food.
