“The Best Wedding venue!”
Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

I've just returned from a beautiful wedding. It was held in the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge, I have to say it was exquisite! The sun shone as we entered the hotel as it had been raining heavy at the church, so when you see sunshine it cheers everyone up especially the bride and groom. The flowers outside the hotel really make an impact on the start of the day what turned out to be a fantastic family wedding, as well as the outside the inside was equally spectacular, every inch of the hotel is covered by flowers ,just what made the difference in making it feel like a million dollar wedding. When we booked in the receptionist was so nice and couldn't do enough to be welcoming, the room was luxurious ! Spotless cannot fault it one bit. The hotel itself, the different bars were lovely never left waiting to be served , staff working behind the bar were the friendliest ,so chatty and also did everything to make sure we were looked after. If I have to say one thing, that is the room itself were the reception was held omg the best I've ever seen in my life the flowers were again just breathtaking, then to top it all off, I cannot start to say that the food was absolutely top class, no one was left waiting on anything it came exactly at the same time, from start to finish brilliant, if I get to see my children marry one day it will definitely be where I would want them to be ! If you ever want great memories of the best day of your life I would recommend the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge county kildare. Well done to all the staff and thank you for a great time

Recently attended a wedding here. We were the first guests to check in and it was a positive experience from start to finish. Honestly didn't feel like I was attending a wedding as I normally don't seem to get the value but I did here. Bar staff were very friendly. They could do with adding another set of toilets in a few locations on the ground flour. It always seemed so far away and a maze to get to them. The food was expensive but it was very nice.

Dear abmGalway

Thank you for your feedback, I am delighted you had the opportunity to experience our Hotel recently for a wedding. I will be sure to pass on your kind comments to all our staff members and managment team. Just to note we have three sets of toilet facilities on the ground floor. One located close to main reception, one close to the function rooms and the remaining set closest the Ballroom.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future.

Kind regards
Sharon

Food very pricey. Always understaffed in the restaurant. However, the bedroom was very nice as were the staff. The hotel has a great bar and beautiful gardens as well. It is a very spacious and well laid out hotel. I would return again.

Dear ElaineM

Thank you for your feedback. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and you liked your bedroom and our beautiful gardens, your kind comments are gratefully appreciated.

In terms of our restaurant, its a fine dining restaurant and we offer a tab menu every weekend. This 4 course menu offers a wide variety of starters, main courses and desserts. As standard our restaurant menu always includes premium items such as a 10oz angus sirloin steak and roast half silverhill duckling, at no extra supplement. Our chef carefully selects market fresh fish and regularly chooses rare types such as wolf fish and fresh brill. This ensures our menu is non- repetitive and offers our guests a unique dining experience every time. Taking this into consideration along with the wonderful feedback we receive on a weekly basis we feel our menu is competitively priced at €37.95.

We very much look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel in the near future.

Kind regards
Sharon

Attended a wedding last weekend. The room an staff for reception were top. But overnight stay was not good. Breakfast was average. Staff under pressure. Had to listen to a row with a customer and the manager while having my breakfast . No scones or yoghurt or croissants for those with a sweet tooth. Staff member just pointed where to go to find my table which was not fully set an had to ask for 2 knives. No napkins. Receptionist was not friendly an no smile or nice goodbye. Bar staff very friendly. Staff for wedding reception were excellent. Pity my overnight stay was such a bad end to a beautiful day.

Dear Lovelylas

I am very dissapointed to hear you did not have a satisfactory stay with us, this is highly unusual and it is not the level of service we strive to provide. Breakfast was indeed busy as unfortunately its human nature to try get a few extra precious minutes in bed at the weekend and therefore all the overnight guests converged on the restaurant at the same time.
We really appreciarte your feedback and we take all your comments seriously. We were aware of the issues on that day and have already implemented extra procedures ie allocating an extra breakfast room at the weekends to facilitate the influx of guests.

We hope that you will stay with us again in the near future and experience our ongoing efforts to satisfy all of our guests needs.

Kind regards
Sharon

Vey disappointed lately with the hotel, feel it's dated, not friendly staff, price of food for what is offered is very expensive. Menu repetitive. Small portions. Had to send chips back 3 times they were burnt sandwich on wrong bread, chips cold and coffee cold by the time a very average sandwich arrived. Toilets dated, going up to this hotel for years but feel in the past 6 months things very poorly run in all areas. Staff seem always under pressure.

My wife and I have just spent three enjoyable nights at the hotel. First impressions were of beautiful and well kept gardens and the pleasant foyer area. Found staff very pleasing, friendly and efficient. The well equipped bedroom was spacious and very clean. Perhaps more draw space would be good however.

Our biggest grip was that the bedroom was not serviced until after 4:30pm. Sadly we came back one day wanting to use the room only to see it had not been serviced.

The food – both in the bar and restaurant - was excellent. The breakfast too was well laid out and the food superb. The bar/restaurant staff we found both friendly and attentive.

Gym is well equipped with attentive staff on duty. The pool area, sauna and steam rooms are very good and clean.
Hotel very well situated for visiting the many places of interest in Co. Kildare.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 1st floor - quieter.

Dear PeterBlackmanLisburn,

Many thanks for your very kind feedback on all aspects of the hotel & staff , and for your kind words about our well kept gardens, we strive to ensure all guests enjoy each part of there stay and the grounds!

We are currently looking into the room not been serviced for you on your return to the hotel with the Head of the Department, However accommodation usually do leave the stay over rooms until the afternoon as they do not like to disturb our Leisure guests to early in the day and take from the relaxation part of their getaway.

If you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact me on 045-444128

We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the not to distant future ,
Kind Regards
Amanda

first impressions of hotel were lovely, well kept garderns and lovely entrance to hotel. We checked in after 11pm was quick and easy. Our room was spotless and very spacious and the bed was comfortable, the room was set at the right temperature. Had tea and coffee in room and hairdryer. Had buffet breakfast on the Saturday and the sunday and could not find any faults food was enjoyable with plenty of choice from sausages and eggs to fruit and toast. Had a drink in bar on the Saturday night and very expensive I only got a pint of fresh orange and lemonade and cost me over 5 euros, so only stayed for one. Staff were friendly and courteous, only minor problem we had was our key card was only put on for one night so couldn't get back into room but was fixed quickly. Great location. Plenty of parking spaces.

Dear 599chelle,

Many thanks for taking the time to review the hotel for us , I am very glad to hear your first impressions of the hotel and how they were lovely and also the well kept gardens , and lovely entrance to the hotel itself, a lot of hard work goes into them!
I will pass on your kind words to Front Office Manager & Accommodation Manager about your quick and easy check in and the Spacious, spotless & comfortable room.
In relation to the drinks in the bar, Just over €5 for a Lemonade & Orange Juice would be very competitively priced and I can actually say with confidence we would be in par with our competitors in the area , this would be the average price you would pay in any Hotel or Bar in the locality.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the not to distant future,
Kind Regards
Amanda
