Just back from a beautiful overnight stay at Viewmount House. From the moment we arrived we were made feel most welcome and we were treated to a lovely pot of tea and biscuits. Our room was a suite room 6. It was part of the original house which we really loved. Our living room was huge with an open fire which we used. The bedroom was charming with a very comfortable double bed. All the furniture in this suite was in keeping with the perod of the house. Our bathroom was large with a beautiful roll top Bath and a very powerful shower. We had dinner in the restaurant which is a must for everyone. The food was exceptional and with lots of little extra touches. The service we had from start to finish was second to none. I really believe this is what we really loved about our stay as you don't get it to this standard in many places anymore. The owner Beryl seemed to be everywhere and very involved in making your stay very memorable. I Couldn't recommend Viewmount house enough. We will definatley be back and i can't wait!

We are just back from a lovely break in Viewmount House. The house itself is charming and the owners really friendly. The restaurant is really worth travelling for...we wanted to try everything on the menu and were delighted with our choices.
We will definitely return on another occasion and would recommend it for food lovers and those looking for a romantic break away.

Room Tip: We were extremely happy with our room, I cannot remember the room number. It overlooked the garden.

Just come back from a fabulous overnight stay. It's an old but very warm house. Our suite was in the newer part of the hotel. I'd recommend room 23. Extremely comfortable bed! Lovely big bathroom with a jacuzzi bath.
We ate our evening meal in the restaurant. Was fabulous meal from start to finish. Breakfast was served in another room in the older part of the house. Lovely fresh fruit salad was available as well as an array of items on the breakfast menu.
We then had our Sunday lunch before leaving. Again yet another fabulous meal. The restaurant has very comfortable seating and excellent staff.
Find an excuse to go here. You won't be disappointed! Great owners and staff to look after you. Enjoy!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 23 and I thought it was great. I did see any other bedroom so can't comment...

Attended a small family wedding here with my husband. Both of us are in our early thirties.
The gardens are tranquil, the rooms are spotless, bed was very comfortable. The furniture and layout of the rooms is of a very classy and well though out design. The layout and theme throughout the establishment is one of old world Ireland with an abundance of Irish literature to hand in every location in addition to an elegant library available to guests. The food was excellent and breakfast includes everything I unfortunately all too often find lacking in other hotels. The staff were brilliant and it says something for the owners when you see what high regard they are held in by their employees. Would recommend to anyone.

I cannot fault this Hotel from Check in to Check out everything was wonderful, my only comment would be the addition of Tea & Coffee making facilities within the room as I enjoy a coffee first thing prior to going for breakfast, this did not detract from the very enjoyable experiece.

Room Tip: Room 26 was over two floors and was fabulous

We stayed here for a wedding and had dinner the night before. The food and service was exceptional. I can safely say it was one of the best meals i ever had. The wedding meal was one hake or steak and was delicious. The rooms are lovely and peaceful and owners look after you so well. Will definitely stay again.

The welcome was exceptional with fresh coffee within 15mins of arrival in front of the fire. After a long days work enjoyable.
The room was huge with a sitting area & large bathroom.
The breakfast was fresh & plentiful.
Unfortunately the timing to eat in the evening at the restaurant was bad staying on the 2 days of the week it was not open.
The cost @ €60 was outstanding value - on my list to stay again if ever given the chance & room is available....
