“A beautiful Sunday outing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2013

There is nothing nicer than taking a trip to Carlingford Bay on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere is brillant. It is a Quaint little town in County Louth with the Irish sea to the east and the Ring of Gullion Mountains to the west. The scenery is breath taking and lots of walks for ramblers. The restaurants and bars are always buzzing and the crack on a Sunday afternoon, with live music in all the bars, is awesome. There is a castle for young children to explore and quaint little shops and cobbled streets for all to explore. A very enjoyable day out or even a stay for the weekend at the Four Seasons Hotel, a lovely hotel. Good food and very modern. The staff are very very friendly and nothing is to much bother. I was a guest at a wedding in the Four Seasons Hotel and stayed overnight. A very enjoyable time was had by all. The grounds of the hotel is nice to sit and have a glass of wine. Don’t forget to try the fresh ousters. Have a nice day out.

this is a must see if just for one night....spent the night on way to Belfast?Bangor and stopped at an outdoor festival that was lovely...to have a ice cold Carlsberg and hear a live band playing old time rock n roll and country music was just what we needed.....we had dinner at Magee's and the food was excellent....seafood brilliant (not fish n chips) a couple of antique stores..(bit pricey) but fun to browse.....loved this town...you will too.

We went to Carlingford marina and walked all along the village. A treasure of a place. Plenty of excellent eating places and lovely shops. I will definately book to stay in the village soon.

“A good place for a walk into the sea”

You will get some good photos of the town and castle from the marina. The place is pretty quiet out of season but is worth the walk from the town centre.
