“Comfortable and spacious for large family or group of friends”

This is a clean and well-provisioned house for a group of up to 10 people (sleeps 9 comfortably with an extra child's single bed). We brought our own food but found the cupboards stocked with essentials such as tea, milk, sugar, condiments etc. There was even a bowl of fruit and a fresh wheaten loaf! The weather was lovely and we made good use of the outdoor patio furniture and brand new gas BBQ. The house is thoughtfully supplied with an extra 'drinks' fridge and plenty of books, magazines and board games (for rainy days I suppose!). There were even 4 bicycles in the shed which we used to cycle around the seafront then down the main road to the village of Greenore 5km away. The fantastic restaurants and pubs of Carlingford are only 5 mins walk away, as well as a super Outdoor Adventure centre. Carlingford is full of interesting craft shops and cafés and the antique centre is well worth a visit. The only thing we missed was wifi, but as a local restauranteur wrote on his outdoor board, you just have to 'learn to talk to each other!' The owner, Eimear, is very friendly and flexible about arrangements.

“Perfect location”

My first visit to Ireland and a beautiful house to stay in, and perfect little Town with a big heart and soul to suit everyone.
There is everything that you would have in your own home, and nothing missed out, kitchen well stocked, lots of towels, extra beding, two bathrooms three toilets, there is books DVDs games, kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, everything you could think of is in the kitchen.
And outside a perfect patio area with views of the Mourne Mountains, BBQ and there was cushions in the shed for the patio set, (which we didnt think to look for any)which we found out from  the owner  on the day we left.
Perfect location as you park up and leave your car for the whole weekend as everything is in walking distance.
The Town is steeped in history, there is lots of walks and outdoor activities to do. I would recommend having a meal in The Bay Tree but you must book to get a table.
Lots of little nick nac shops selling local goods. Also you must find the shop cafe (it is sign posted and down a backstreet)called Food For Thought beautiful lunch we had in there and good portions.
If your going to pop to Ireland it is well worth stopping at Carlingford.

“Perfect Place for a stay in Carlingford”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed here for a girly reunion and couldn't have stayed anywhere better. The owner is gorgeous and looked after us so well. Great value for money, exceptionally clean and modern, every need cared for, spacious rooms and very social layout downstairs. The views from the house are fabulous and only 5 mins walk into Carlingford. I would highly recommended this place for families and couples too and we will be back. Enjoy everyone x

Stayed here for my 30th birthday &had a brilliant time. Needed to contact Eimer, the landlady, a few times before heading down and she was so helpful. The house was spacious and welcoming and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend it and will be down again for a relaxing break!

“Beautiful house and fantastic location”

Nine of us stayed here for a birthday weekend and the house is just lovely. The location is great, it is only 3 mins walk out of the town but it is far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful. The house is so well maintained, spotless and certainly big enough for the 9 of us and in fact could have sleep more comfortably. The basket of treats left on arrival was an added bonus and very much appreciated. The beds were super comfortable and everyone had a great nights sleep. The owner was really nice and very laid back but she made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with everything during the stay. Could not have asked for more, would definitely recommend this place.

“Great House and Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Foy View house is well equipped, spacious and extremely clean. There were 9 of us staying for the weekend and there was plenty of room for us all. Location is perfect, close to the harbour and the town. I would highly recommend this house when staying in Carlingford which is a great place for a break for young and old alike! Special mention to Eimear who was so helpful, thanks for everything!

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I can't praise this property enough we travelled down to celebrate joint birthdays and our stay was so relaxing! the house was brilliant in that we could all socialise in the large open living area and everyone had a bed! we made use of the hotel leisure facilities during the day which were only round the corner and the owner couldn't have been more helpful with helping me organise activities! highly recommend it for all parties whether it is family's or friends out for the weekend there is so much to do!
