Myself and my boyfriend and some friends spent a few days in Carlingford for New Years Eve. I would highly reccommend the Viewpoint B&B as a place to stay.. it is more like having your own apartment than being a b&b...The owner Paul, couldnt do enough for us... was very very helpful to us and had no problem dropping us to wherever we wanted to go.. The view from the rooms is AMAZING! And the rooms are ideal! Thanks again to Paul and Family for making our stay so enjoyable!
Happy new year! Karen & Donal

We have been going to carlingford for the last couple of yrs and have stayed in four seasons which is quite expensive and definitely not worth the money until we found viewpoint on line.We arrived at our room to a lovely aroma of candles lighting (lovely touch) the owner brought us into village and collected us also.Had fab view from our spotless room and even better view at breakfast.Owners couldnt have been more hospitible. Only prob we had was we could'nt stay longer. Will definitely return thk u both for a lovely stay.

Stayed here one night for a hen party and it was great. The staff and owners were lovely and very helpful. Its also close to the bars and restaurants and the view from the room was brilliant. Breakfast was great as well.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the views from the accomodation were spectacular. There was adequate car parking and a good breakfast provided. The management were friendly and helpul and nothing was too much trouble. The service we received could not have been better and we were given good advice on the amenities and events in the area. The children were in a safe secure environment and every age was catered for.

I found this B&B to have everything you would need to enjoy a nice break away. From the minute i rang up to book this place i knew that the owner was someone who look s after his guests.he gave me good directions to the house and was extremely pleasant on the phone. We had three rooms on the lower part of the house overlooking carlingford lough which was breath taking to wake up and look at in the morning. The breakfast was very good and plenty to eat. when i went to pay it was the owners wife and i found her to be every bit as friendly as the owner himself. i would definitly recommend it.

Stayed in the Viewpoint on Saturday night. Have stayed in Carlingford in the past, but unlike the larger hotel/guesthouses, the Viewpoint offers a friendly and personal service second to none. Have read the other reviews and it makes you question how we Irish people have become such snobs. Yes the rooms are not exactly five star, but they are spotless clean and more than adequately furnished. There was an electric blanket on when we arrived and some scented candles lit. The proprietor was extremely helpful and courteous, he not only collected us in his taxi late that night, but was there cooking our (beautiful!!) breakfast the following morning. This is a little hidden gem and I highly recommend it. Ignore the snobs and pay them a visit!!!
