CHECK IN - easy place to find on the main road between Carrickmacross and Dundalk. Welcomed at a relaxed reception. Grabbed a complimentary newspaper.

ROOM - spacious and very clean. Pillows are good and bed lent itself to a good nights sleep.

LEISURE - pool and jacuzzi quiet on a Friday afternoon. My wife had a massage and found it good.

FOOD - we ate in the bar and food was excellent (recommend the curry option). Bar staff really helpful and a bit of craic. Would encourage you to stay too long in the bar!

BREAKFAST - the only slight disappointment. No soda bread or potato bread. Just hash browns. Everything else ok but not above average.

OVERALL - recommended, with staff attitude adding to the experience.

Stay here 2 weekends ago for 2 night break with the good wife. When we landed the room wasn't ready no big deal we had a drink at the bar and it wasn't that long. The room itself was a good size I think it was 308 looking out onto the first tee.A bit dated but clean except for the spider webs in the window which contained 3 dead flys.We ate in the bar on Fri evening which you couldn't fault good food and plenty of it.The carlsberg in the bar on both nights was as flat as anything I ended up on Guinness both nights I don't know whether it was a gas problem or whatever they clean the glasses with which can cause problems as I've come across before. The breakfast was excellent on both mornings and the staff are very friendly to deal with.Had a swim both days in leisure and the wife used the spa for a massage which she said was very good and the girl who did the massage was a pleasure to deal with very friendly & chatty. We dined in the restaurant on Sat night and while it was good the menu has got a lot smaller than the last time we visited.Like a lot of hotels it's getting a bit dated and needs a bit of a re-deck also the lift was broken from Sat morning until we left on Sun.On sat night one of the bar men got up to sing with the band now this lad is worth going to listen to he's was super a great singer.Overall I wouldn't put anybody of visiting its a bit dated but still quaint in its own way.For the same money there's better value to be had but I probably will return.

This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds and as some have said a bit dated and in places tired but it still retains an elegance that overrides its few shortcomings. It is a very comfortable hotel, I loved the old world charm feel of the bedrooms and fear that this may be lost in any revamp. The light in the bathroom is excellent, this is sadly lacking in many hotels. We stayed at the beginning of the week so the main restaurant was not opened, we ate in the bar and opted for bar food which was very good, The ladies in our party enjoyed afternoon tea while the men opted for golf despite the wet weather. The breakfast was first class, with hot choices cooked to order. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and made everyone feel very welcome, the bar staff looked after our party particularly well.
All six in our party would definitely return and could confidently recommend this lovely hotel.

We decided last year to hold our wedding reception in The Nuremore Hotel this September 13th because of their fantastic gardens, beautiful ballroom, outstanding food and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Arriving at the hotel we truly felt like royalty and were speechless at how the ballroom was set up. Theresa, their in-house florist, made a remarkable job on the table arrangements, Kevin the events co-ordinator paid attention to every last detail, even setting up our DIY candy table. The chefs provided us with a meal that was fit for kings and queens and the waiting staff provided a fast, efficient and friendly service. The receptionist, Sandra, was more than helpful to all of our guests who chose to stay overnight and the night porters provided drinks and craic in the residents bar. Anything we requested was arranged, no questions asked! We were fortunate enough to have lovely weather for our photos to be taken outside, but if this wasn't possible, the hotels lobby is beautiful for photos. The hotels bedrooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and spectacular views. Lastly, I would like to thank absolutely all involved in the Nuremore for a very special and memorable day!

I got married very recently in The Nuremore, last September 2013. I can't recommend it enough as a beautiful place to hold your wedding. From our very first visit to the hotel, Kevin our wedding planner was very accomadating and couldn't do enough for us. The bedrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The hotel itself has a feel of old world luxuary and the grounds are lovely and very well maintained, perfect for photos. On the run up to our big day Kevin and his team were so helpful with every little detail. On the day the ballroom looked amazing and Kevin made sure everything ran smoothly with no hassel or stress for us. The service was second to none. And the food from the drinks reception on arrival, to the main meal and the evening food was fresh and delicious. All our guests had an amazing time and we enjoyed every minute. Thank you Kevin and all the team at the Nuremore from Barbara & Eamon.
