Nice hotel with great facilities and very pleasant staff. Rooms were bright and clean. We both found the food in the restaurant overly rich and felt that if we stayed again we would probably eat bar food or travel to the local town.

Thank you for your kind comments about the Nuremore. The Ivy Bar serves a bistro style until 9.30pm each evening if you would prefer it as an option dinner on your next stay.. Carrickmacross has a range of great restaurants to choose from too. Many thanks again for taking the time to right your comments and we hope to welcome you back to the hotel soon. Best regards, Suzanne

We thoroughly enjoyed our Easter break at the Nuremore Hotel. We have 2 children age 7 and 5 to say it was our best family break yet is an understatement. The family bedroom to the wonderful food and children's amenities allowed us all to really enjoy our break. The Pet farm was just an added bonus and a great surprise for the children. We will definitely return to the Nuremore Hotel.

Stayed overnight. really friendly helpful staff. Beautiful location. rooms a little bit tired. nice golf course especially the front 9. the bar seems to be always busy. the health spa staff are excellent and friendly, but it could do with a makeover. overall will definitely be back.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Nuremore. Our room was spacious and the decor was beautiful. The bed was especially comfortable with plenty of pillows. The leisure club was nothing special but the facilities were good - the gym is spacious with plenty of equipment. The only downside to the pool was that you had to wear a swimming cap. We ate at the bar on both nights and the food was fairly priced and delicious. Breakfast was good although they didn't keep the hot food topped up as frequently as they should have. The staff were friendly especially in the bar. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and perfect for a walk. Overall a brilliant stay!

The staff are really friendly and helpful the rooms are lovely and the surroundings are also pretty cool.i loved the ducks walking aruond by the pond. The only reason it didnt get five star was becuase of the breakfast was so poor i wouldnt get it again and our bed was two beds pushed together which was not very comfortable, the beds were also hard as rocks although the pillows and duvet were fine. It would be nice also if the telly was updated as the channels were blurry but we didnt spend much time in the room for that to bother is too much. overall the staff are lovely and the the decor is quite quirky and oldish which i really liked.

Just returned from a weekend stay at the Nuremore. Must say I was blown away with how wonderful this Hotel and our stay was.

I had booked this break away as a treat for my girlfriend with the hope that we could just relax and pamper ourselves. We're were not disappointed.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted at by a friendly girl at the front desk. Sandra I think her name was. She gave us a breakdown of all the facilities and made sure we felt really welcome.

Our room was really nice. Big and spacious, perfect for us. As we arrived early we thought we might have to wait to get our room but Sandra got in touch with Housekeeping and got us a room straight away.

We decided to try the Bar for lunch as we were peckish. I went for the steak sandwich. Wow definitely recommend that to any one. My girlfriend had afternoon tea and was equally impressed. After lunch we went and enjoyed the leisure facilities.

My girlfriend went for a massage while I hung out in the steam room and sauna. Total relaxation which was exactly what we were looking for.

That night we had Dinner and it was simply amazing. Could not fault it at all. Their wine list is extensive and we were recommended a good Chainti by the waiter, John I believe, it was great to see such passionate and well trained staff, something which is lacking these days in many hotel.

We retreated to the Bar for the rest of the night and really enjoyed the atmosphere there.

The following morning we were just as impressed with the breakfast.

All In all we had an amazing time, and the Nuremore ticked all the boxes we were looking for.

Credit were credit is due. Can't wait to return in the very near future

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in Nuremore hotel, we had gone on a group on deal and stayed an extra night. Our expectations of the hotel were high seeing as it is a 4 star hotel. On arrival we were greeted with a less than friendly receptionist who checked us in. Our room was big and spacious, however there was a musty smell in the room along with dampness and mildew noted on the window. A tear in the curtain that was very obvious, a night light missing from one side of the bed, and a handle missing from the bath, in our opinion this is not by any means close to the standard of a 4 star hotel. Also the view from our bedroom window was appalling, we looked out upon a view that was untidy, unkempt and in dire need of a good paint! For our two night stay we had no Irish television stations, this was brought to the attention of three different staff members during our stay finally being told that the whole hotel had no Irish TV stations? Very strange in our opinion. The key card to our room was also dodgy. Reception were made aware of these issues on our departure and although they did apologise it lacked sincerity. On the upside the leisure centre was lovely very clean with great changing and locker facilities. We also thoroughly enjoyed the food in the hotel. In our opinion the hotel is not meeting the four star rating it has been awarded and is in dire need of a revamp and facelift.
