“Cozy and sweet boutique hotel in the heart of the action.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2011

This tucked away Inn was recommended by a friend who has college age kids here. Located on the famed Dickson Street,it was built in 1894 and exterior and interior maintains the house's integrity.Today the rooms are well appointed and modern but layered
with antique furniture and
architectural details like doors and
moldings. I stayed in Room#9 that
is detached right of the small
courtyard. This would be a 600.00
room in a larger market.
A short little walk and breakfast is served in the original dining room. Super fresh fruit, pastries, and made to order eggs plus good coffee and newspapers provided for a relaxing breakfast that was available still 10:30.
The staff is amazing, the location cannot be beat, and the rooms 5 star. Some rooms are itsy bitsy so ask if small rooms are a bother....only 10 available!
but it is in serious need of updating. The grounds are lovey the staff was consistently good and nice but the rooms were quite old. There are some new elements like a bathroom vanity but installed over old 1950s tile (not cool 1950s but yucky 1950s). My room - in the main building - looked like it has barely seen any updating in decades. I could also hear everything that happened in the room above me - from footsteps to a buzzing blackberry on a nightstand! From what I heard, this was true of all of the rooms in this building. They're also small and some have views of only parking lots. I heard that someof the outer buildings have nicer, more refreshed rooms so be careful with your booking and know what type of room you're getting. I will say that the food was quite good - much better than your average hotel food!m. So fresh and presented as if you were in a private home. The whole property only has only 10 rooms.

This was an amazing location in Fayetteville, and the staff (Bob, Shea and Hannah) could not have been kinder and more helpful during our stay. The Inn was very clean, well kept, and well appointed. This will be my first choice for accomodations in fayetteville whenever the need arises.

This great little boutique Inn is right in the center of Fayetteville, a small college town. The parking is limited on-site but they will valet park your car for you. The cheerful excellent staff are on duty 24/7. The room was small and had an absolutely comfortable bed ( I inquired about the mattress as I want one) and had every amenity needed! The bathroom had a whirlpool bath and was very clean and crisp feeling. There was a frig, HD cable TV and A/c with remote. I slept like a baby. ( I travel for a living so have seen the good, the bad and the ugly) This place was excellent! The breakfast was labeled Continental taken family style, but it was much better than that!
I would come back in a heartbeat if plans called for another stay in this town.

The title of my review may be understating how my family and I felt regarding our experiance. The location is great. The room was beautiful. The breakfast was very good. The best part was the people working at the Inn. Shea, Hanna, and the staff were spectacular. They could not have done more for us. We were treated like royalty. The location is in the heart of the fun.

We were in Fayetteville for a wedding and stayed two nights in the Dickson Street Inn. The location was perfect as the wedding was on the U 0f A campus and the reception was right up the street at George's, both within easy walking distance.

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the room, everything was spotless. The furniture was comfortable as was the bed. The bathroom was fine, with quality towels and toiletries to go with the Jacuzzi tub and good lighting.

The room was equipped with a coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator.
Our room, #7, is on the back side of the house so that the noise from Dickson Street wasn't a problem.

The staff was attentive and helpful.

Our only quibbles are with the lack of drawer space to put clothing and the steps from the seating area up to the bed and bath. The steps in particular might prove a challenge to some.

All in all an excellent experience in a place we would certainly stay in again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back.

This place is just kind of perfect. The house itself is charming and quaint without feeling the least bit stuffy or overwrought. Well-selected antiques and a low-key vibe make it easy to hang out here, on the veranda, in the parlor (where there's usually great swing music, played at a low level), or on the porch, where you can sink into a comfortable two-seater and watch the world go by. Each room is unique. Mine had its own balcony and a jaccuzzi tub. I slept like a bear.

Inkeepers Bob, Shay and Hannah couldn't be sweeter or more accomodating. The site says there's a continental breakfast included; they're being modest. In addition to the breads, jams, coffee, juices, fruits and cereals, they'll whip up anything you like, if they have it -- bacon and eggs, pancakes, sausages, bacon, quiche -- and even accomodate special diets. They asked if there was anything I'd prefer for breakfast. Next day: smoked salmon and olive oil (I don't eat dairy). They're friendly, helpful, and people you could hang out with.

The whole time here has been restorative and lovely.

The Dickson Street has only been open for a year and a half, I've learned, but already, it may be hard to get a room (I believe there are only ten). But trust this experienced traveler (I live on the road at the moment), and don't stay anywhere else.
