Stayed here with my Mum a few weeks ago for an overnight on our way to Westport / Galway.
I booked a suite as I thought it had a balcony (my mistake) It was such a beautiful day and really wanted to sit outside and relax as my mum can't walk very far. The girl on reception was a doll she swapped us rooms to facilitate my mum. The rooms are fab, very spacious, spotless & have the added bonus of a fridge. Ice Machine & vending machine in Hallway.
Pub with restaurant right next door which they are only too glad to make a reservation for you.
Main pubs & beech not within walking (if bad on feet) but only 5 min drive. If they had more rooms I would be putting our coach tours in here!

Room Tip: Suites have no Balconies! lol

Dear MargaretF

Thankyou for taking the time to review on tripadvisor and i'm delighted to read such a ringing endorsement. We strive to accommodate all guests to the best of our ability and i'm glad we were able to satisfy the request on this occasion. I hope your mother enjoyed her time with us also.

The venue bar and restaurant next door to us are a marvellous accompaniment to what we offer with great food and music it really adds to our guests experience.

Strandhill is a beautiful location with many activities, bars and restaurants and so i'm delighted you got to experience an array of both.

I will pass on your kind comments to the staff.

Thankyou again for your review and I hope we will see you in Strandhill again soon.

We stayed here for a night in July whilst on a roadtrip around West Ireland. The hotel is only a few years old, the beds are huge as are the rooms. The only discomfort was the temperature.....it was very warm and we had to have a fan on all night. However, the receptionist confirmed that this is being resolved later this year as air conditioning is being installed. Breakfast is continental, location is close to the beachfront - approx 15minute walk.

Dear KEEBO925

Thankyou for your review and i'm glad that you elected to stay with us during your roadtrip of Ireland. The Wild Atlantic Way is proving so popular with tourists and it is a blessing that Strandhill is one of hte jewels on the route.

I'm sorry that the temperature in the room was a little too close for you the summer can be quite humid at times but we will seek to resolve that issue in the near future.

Thankyou again for your review and i hope you enjoyed the rest of your Ireland road trip.

Great central location in Strandhill, good parking, excellent rooms. A truly outstanding boutique hotel. We got a great deal when we booked and were really impressed when we checked in. The staff are knowledgable and friendly and gave us good advice on beach walks and local restaurants.
There is a room set up with an Apple computer and printer, free wifi and tea, coffee and biscuits 24/7.

Our room was spacious with fantastic sea views and a balcony. Whoa !!!
Breakfast was continental but there was more than enough and with boiled eggs available and warm croissants we were more than happy. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: ask for a sea view -- most rooms have it.

Having been to a local wedding we decided to stay at the suites in Strandhill well we were not dissapointed i had booked them several months in advance , i was shown both suites back then. When we checked in we had two extra people in our party, that was not a problem we had extra beds put in straight away they were very polite and although i could see very few staff while we stayed they seemed to be able to cope. Breakfast was continental but what a selection there was special cereal and bread for gluten free guests and the young lady was relacing food without a guest having to ask. When we were leaving i told the gentleman we would definately return although a suite would be too large for just myself and my husband . He then showed us a double room which would suit us. we will definately be returning . What a fantastic place.

Room Tip: all rooms seemed to overlook sea wonderful restaurants in area

Stayed here for 2 nights, the hotel is lovely although it does not have a restaurant or bar there is one next door The Venue which has a lovely restaurant with sea view and bar. Lovely views of Atlantic and Knocknarea mountain. Breakfast is continental with a good selection. Spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a balcony

Dear Weltom

I was delighted to read your review and thankyou so much for taking the time to do so. I'm happy that we were able to meet and exceed your expectations - you are correct about the balcony rooms on a summers evening there is nothing else quite like it - this is why those rooms sell so quickly, i'm delighted you were able to grab one on this occasion. I will pass on your kind comments regarding staff.

I hope we will see you in Strandhill again soon and thank-you again for your kind review.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It was very well maintained and could not fault the room. Continental style breakfast was functional and worked very well in our opinion. Plenty of choice. From what we could see, this is the best place to stay in Strandhill. Next door to a nice pub and restaurant which is very convenient. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
