“Perfect stay”
Reviewed 13 June 2012

We went to Duncrone for a second time. My, then boyfriend, brought me there as an anniversary surprise because we loved it so much last time. On the trip he proposed to me, which was just lovely. Jeanette made the experience all the more wonderful. She made us feel very special and even helped us out when we forgot to eat dinner and ended up starving after all the restaurants had closed!! I couldn't recommend this B&B highly enough! Only downside was we didn't have long enough there, before having to rush home, to enjoy the wonderful breakfast!!

Room Tip: the upper floor has a beautiful view of the sea

Jeanette welcomed us with all of her heart. The rooms were clean and tidy and made us feel warm and cozy and we slept like babies through the night.
Breakfast was hearty and delicious made mostly with ingredients Jeanette makes at home such as fresh eggs, home-made bread and jam.
In conclusion, if we didn't have to move on, we would have stayed there a couple of more nights.

My son and I were on a trip to follow my Irish roots which started in Portlaoise (my birthplace) and was to go on to many different places, but once at this wonderful B & B with Jeanette, Pat and son Paul we stayed for a week and didn't want to go anywhere else. Their home became our home and the surrounding area was beautiful. We visited all the beaches, the cliff walk, the cemetery and were never bored. Jeanette was more than gracious and a great cook. The accommodations were superb. Although our trip was almost 2 years ago, I shall always feel like it was yesterday. Thank you for fulfilling my dreams of returning to Ireland.

Jeanette was great. We spent a great deal of time talking with her and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great views over the Irish countryside with the ocean in the distance. Breakfast was very good. We were there in the "shoulder" season and this is a very small town. Really very little to do and only one place to get a meal (which was excellent). We weren't concerned about the lack of things to do as this was a stop "along the way". We did not have reservations and just dropped in. Jeanette was very accommodating and offered refreshments when we arrived. Nice big room and very comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone.

My husband and I stayed at the Duncrone B & B for a night. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very quiet. We had delightful views from our windows. Jeanette (owner) was very kind, sweet, informative, and cooked us a delicious Irish Breakfast. She also offered to light a fire for us if we decided to watch television in the lounge area the evening that we arrived. Her husband is the one responsible for adding beautiful woodwork (molding, and lots more) all around the house and also renovated the kitchen. The price was reasonable as well. We felt like we were staying at a friend's home.....delightful.

I travelled here with my partner and two friends of ours. I have been coming to ardmore since i was a child and loved coming back to visit. This b&b is by far the best B&B i have ever said in. The rooms were incredibly spacious with a double and single bed in both rooms. The landlady apologised when we arrived because she had some guests leaving early the next morning and she was worried we would be woken so she extended the breakfast hour for us so we could go back to sleep. This was however completely unnecessary as I had one of the best nights sleep ever there. The refreshments provided throughout the day were an added bonus and the living room where we could relax during the day/evening was perfect with the most stunning views. Breakfast was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more! Will definately be going back as soon as possible!
