Oh my lord where do I start. What an amazing experience. It was my husbands birthday so I treated him to the Tasting Menu in the restaurant. 5 star restaurant, 5 star view, 5 star treatment & of course Michelin star food. It was beyond what I had expected. I understand now what it's like to make your taste buds explode. A must do everyone. I must say as well the Staff are a huge credit to the hotel. I would highly recommend this. You won't be sorry, you'll just want to go back because we sure will

Took my Aunt and Uncle for lunch at the Cliff House Hotel yesterday 22/07/2014
Don't mind some place been busy or so they think there busy.
Counted 10 staff like headless chickens all seem more interested in bring drinks to people then over looking the people waiting to order lunch.
Waiting 40 mins is a no go back there. Couple beside us got up and left they been waiting so long.
Had to ask if they had a Vegetarian choice as none on the menu I hate that.
When the food came my Aunt and Uncle said the Chicken was like leather.
The place could do with a little make over.
The Hotel has a lovely view.

We have stayed here a few times now and are never let down by The Cliff House. Everything from the location, the food, the interior design, the spa and last but not least, the choice of staff make this place our favourite hotel in Ireland.

Looking forward to coming back.

Room Tip: All rooms look onto the sea - splash out (pardon the pun) and get a suite with a balcony.

I have just returned from a weekend stay in Cliff House and we were extremely happy with the service, the food was amazing (as we expected) and the view was breath taking. The only downfall I will say is the bed was not comfortable. Neither myself nor my husband slept comfortably for the night. The bed was too short, and my husband is only 6ft 1in (so average for a guy) but the pillows were either high and hard or flat and non existent. I feel like this is a small complaint, and certainly shouldn't deter anyone from staying in the hotel, however it wouldn't be fair to give our stay full marks either. I think if the length and comfort of the bed could be looked in to at least, that would be a 10 out of 10 from me!

Other than the bed, the rest of the hotel is top notch

Having just celebrated our wedding in The Cliff House, my wife and I felt it important to share our thoughts on this special venue. From the moment we considered The Cliff House as our wedding venue everything has been perfect. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food marvelous and staff second to none. All our guests were made feel just as important as the bride and groom themselves. The staff could not do enough to make our special day the most memorable day of our lives. The wedding day, from the ceremony in the North Terrace to the meal, were simply outstanding. The food throughout our stay was, as always, of a very high standard. The views from the hotel's terraces must be seen to be believed.

We would like to thank Adriaan and his team for everything they did for us and cannot recommend The Cliff House highly enough. Perfect.

We had planned for a two night stay at the Cliff House to cap a wonderful week in Ireland (our first time). The winding drive to the property was scenic and idyllic, giving us a very homey feel on the approach. The town area was quaint and the signage was more than sufficient to direct us to the hotel. We were greeted by a very efficient valet and by the time we were out of the car, our bags were neatly lined up safely in the lobby. The check-in was a breeze and the view as we ascended the stairs was breathtaking. The room was sumptuous and comfortable and the bathroom was straight out of a design magazine. The lighting seemed complex at first, but it was easy to figure out the many options for whatever lighting design we preferred.

For our specific circumstances, our planned finale unfortunately was interrupted by a personal emergency back home, and we were not able to enjoy all the amenities, but we were able to at least enjoy some drinks on the deck while absorbing the panoramic Irish coastal vista and a fantastic Michelin starred meal in the restaurant (the dishes were a gastronomic delight!). The hotel staff was extremely gracious and helpful to us and we look forward to returning at some point in the future where we can unwind and relax in style in the beauty of the Cliff House Hotel.

My husnand and I had a lovely stay here last week. The hotel is beautiful inside but what really makes this place is the fantastic view. The room was lovely and waking up to the beautiful sea view was a real treat.
All hotel staff were friendly, efficient and any requests were no problem to them. Minor issued were dealt with quickly and professionally.
The Spa is nice..small but again the view from the pool and hot tub make it an ideal place to relax.
We had dinner in the restaurant twice and had both a la carte and the tasting menu. We really enjoyed both meals. Some unusual and interesting dishes. The attention to detail was superb with dishes being as much a feast for the eyes as the taste buds.
The tasting menu was too much food for me personally. The lobster and salmon starters and chocolate dessert were highlights. With lots of extra bites between courses we didn't fine the price of food to be too bad. But be warned drinks are definitely 5 star prices. We also enjoyed a nice lunch in the bar.
Ardmore is a lovely village and the cliff walk is a must do. All in all staying here was a real treat and I would love to return.
