“Perfect for an Extended Family Group with Young Children”
Reviewed 14 January 2014 for a stay in August 2013

We had a wonderful stay in Browne's Farmhouse. Naoive and Paul made us feel so welcome. We loved the welcome basket of local produce.
The house has been beautifully restored and the accommodation is really top class with the kitchen as a lovely focal point. The beds were really comfortable with quality linens. They have really thought of all the details for a family group such as the connecting bedrooms-perfect for keeping an eye on the smaller children;the cots;the high chairs; the plentiful crockery and cutlery; the garden great for outdoor games. It was special, sitting outside looking at the amazing starry night sky.

Bally quin beach and Goat Island beach were two beautiful beaches where we spent a lot of time . The Cliff walk in Ardmore is about 40 minutes long and was really lovely but it is nicer to walk out from Cliff house to the tower and to walk back than to do the looped walk as the off coast part of the route is not as scenic. There is also a playground in Ardmore.

We also enjoyed Ballymacart Cove but it was easier to manage small children at Ballyquin and Goat Island as they are much bigger.

Dungarvan is a great town, we liked the Ormond Cafe for coffee and cake; Nude Food with an area out the back where kids can run around more at off peak times; the Moorings and Merry's Bar were also good for food with the Moorings probably more child friendly. There are two playgrounds in Dungarvan.
Lismore is a lovely Estate planned town with the lovely Lismore Castle gardens, a playground and a park.
On the day that it rained, we went to Perk's Indoor Play Centre in Youghal which the kids loved .
We would love to come back as there is so much to do around here and it is also a great place for doing nothing.
Thanks Naoive and Paul for everything.

“Fantastic holiday home perfectly located for a wonderful holiday”
Reviewed 17 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We found Brownes farmhouse to be a real gem. We received a warm welcome from the owner who had kindly left us a nice selection of local produce which was a lovely touch, she also made sure we settled in okay and gave us the lowdown on the area. The house itself was first class, It had all the mod cons you could need with the Wi-Fi being particularly useful. Everything was very clean and it was on a par with a high quality hotel. It has a beautiful large garden for the children to play in and was ideally located for some great local beaches, we hope to return in the future to 'Brownes' and would highly recommend it for anyone who would like a relaxing holiday in a lovely house.
