We stayed at this b&b for 1 night in between Kilkenny and portmagee. It was a little hard to find but when we did we loved it. Beautiful working farm and the owner was very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable we had a great sleep and good breakfast the next morning.

My niece and I stayed for one night in our two week tour of Ireland and although the place itself is beautiful: gardens, rooms are lovely, just didn't receive that warm, lovely, authentic hospitality that was prevalent in so many places.

Declan greeted us which was lovely but I didnt feel the warmth from the owner. CAme down for breakfast and no one came for quite some time, didnt know if we should help ourselves or not, coffeemaker making a horrible horrible sound, and food was just fine but not the wonderful baking and flourish other places had.

It was really hard to find as well. We stopped three times and no one even heard of it. Directions to dinner were way off base but dinner at Seanchai was delightfull once found.

Met two German men who were visiting there and hope their experience was better than ours.

Room Tip: again, the rooms are lovely, the welcome and interactions totally ingenuine.

Our room on the ground floor overooked the back garden and was small though reasonably comfortable. Room was extremely cold and a little dark even though it was summer and for the first time in my life I resorted to sleeping without a pillow as this B&B must hold the world record for the hardest and heaviest pillows ever known to man. But the main concern was that this B&B is located between two main roads and the main N25 runs very close to the back of the house making the back bedrooms very noisy. Our hostess suggested we slept with the window closed!
Irish breakfast was very good and generous.
Eating out in Ardmore with a family wa a little challenging - nothing between ridiculously overpriced 'chic' modern restaurant or rather quaint old Irish hotel akin the the location for The Shining but if you want to experience 'real life, this is the place to go though food is very basic and not really worth what they charged. Consider eating evening meal out of Ardmore.
Village is beautiful and quaint during day with fabulous cliff walks.

Room Tip: Choose a suite/room at the front of the house - sunny with views across countryside. We were charged...

We had a wonderful stay here. Teresa was so warm, welcoming and helpful. The food was lovley and we throughtly enjoyed our stay. I would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: I would choose a front room if you want a sea view. We had a back view which was nice, the farm.

After manouvreing our way up the corner staircase we found ourselves in our room.. it was cosy, with an ensuite, and a small TV.. everything was in it's place, and nothing unusually strange or out of the ordinary.. looking out the window, into the garden, there was an old dog, chasing young birds. Never going to catch them, but [--] he kept trying.. i liked that.. reminded me of me.
Oh and google maps are about 3 miles wrong with their location. You need to go a couple miles towards waterford and it's on the right.

Room Tip: Phone before you arrive .. it's a guesthouse, not a hotel. We booked online, and arrived unannou...

Our room at Newtown Farm Guesthouse was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were gracious and extremely helpful. Teresa called restaurants for us to find out if they could fit us in for dinner and we had a fantastic dinner at the Whitehorses Restaurant in Ardmore. And when we had a flat tire, Teresa called Maurice and he changed the tire for us! We wished we had stayed longer than one night. If we come back to this area, we will definitely stay at this guesthouse.

We were greeted by Teresa who immediately let us know there had a been a mixup with our reservation and she had us marked for only one night instead of two but she already booked us a room with a B&B that she knew and recommended just right down the road for the next night if that's what we wanted to do, so we would be good to go and have absolutely nothing to worry about, she even offered to have us leave our luggage there the next morning and she would take it to the next B&B for us while we were out sightseeing. We decided instead to stay somewhere more near Waterford which worked out even better for our travel plans and Teresa even offered to call them for us and explain the situation of why were reserving so late. She was so SWEET! The sitting room was very comfy and felt like home with free wifi! Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit offered and for the first time I saw all week a bagel and crepes on the menu. The gardens were pretty. My only complaint would be the very tiny shower. I am a small person 5'4 and 125 pounds but I was constantly bumping my elbows on the shower doors, but there is a nice shower head that detaches so you can wash off everything.
