“Enjoyable visit”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

Belvedere House is an interesting Georgian Estate. First stop is a lovely coffee shop. Make sure you sit upstairs, great to people watch while eating the lovely apple pie. The grounds go on for ever and on a good day it is really enjoyable to walk around the gardens. Nice play area for children. The house is an interesting visit but a bit disappointing in size. Overall well worth a visit.

“Santa 2013”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

Very disappointing experience and by far our worst. We have visited Santa in so many places over the last number of years and have always been so excited and really looking forward to it.
Unfortunately we chose Belevede House this year. The Santa was less than jolly and enthusiastic, and gave our 2 children just a twig of a christmas tree in a pot! Scrouge is still alive!! Miserable and mean spirited, its obviously all about the profit, felt so sorry for my children we brought them to a shop and got them a little toy to make up for it! There was face painting but we also had to pay for it. Will definitely be heading back to Causey Farm next year :-)

“Intersting viewing”
Reviewed 11 December 2013

overall well worth a visit restaurants were a bit over priced though, nice walks and gardens, and interesting history,my visit was short came from the states to trace some family around mullingar town,Stayed in local B&B which was nice,However a word of advice to anyone planing a trip to mullingar DONT i mean dont bring a car the road surface around this town is definitely the worst iv ever came across i hired a car at Dublin airport and had to have it towed away due to a broken Axel which happened on the approach road near the town, and ended up losing my deposit.the authorities in the states would be fined heavily if they ever let the roads get in such a state. However they seem to get away with in westmeath

“Grounds are really worth a visit, lovely walks - an quiet oasis in Mullingar”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

The house had a audio/visual lifelike experience downstairs showing what life was like in the servants' quarters and this was interesting, however moving upstairs was disappointing with very little furniture and artifacts in the house. The walled garden is worth a visit if you're into plants, herbs etc., The best part of our visit was the grounds, beautiful long walks, around lake and woods an oasis in the middle of Mulligar
