Stayed here on 1st March as part of a hen. Arrived at 4pm to a full car park, to be informed our room was not ready, the lady on the desk then tried to overcharge us, when we stated this she offered no apology and was just plain rude. While waiting in reception the desk was mostly unmanned and when we did approach who turned out to be the owner he told us they were very busy that day.......not our problem, hire more staff. Eventually at 4.40 our room was ready, bearing in mind the hen party were meeting in a nearby restaurant at 5 didn't leave us much time to get ready. Rooms could do with a facelift as could the whole hotel. Breakfast is served in the bar area which is not very appetizing after a night on the beer.
