We booked this ask minute with no expectations. A great rate fantastic room and top class kids club. This is a friendly well maintained 4* hotel in beautiful surrounding. The people working here clearly enjoy doing so. Our 5 year old had a ball.

From the moment you enter until you leave, the service and hospitality is second to none. Staff are excellent with the children and when they look after your six year old for 6 hours every day, that is some commitment. Detail to house keeping excellent and the service in the bar and restaurant was 1st class. Have now visited on 4 occasions and will be back in the near future. Cannot rate it high enough.

Just back from an unexpected night away in The Bloomfield House hotel. Reception and lobby area are beautifully decorated. Check in was very smooth and quick. Bedroom while on the small side was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. En-suite compact and clean. No air conditioning in the room. We kept window open but the noise from outside may bother some people(there was a wedding on and we could hear the music from the function room and people talking outside but it didn't bother us)
Restaurant - we had dinner included in our package. Menu didn't excite me at all but to be fair everything we ordered was cooked beautifully. I had soup(last resort as there was nothing else I would eat) & breast of chicken served on a bed of risotto with a tikka sauce over it. This came with potatoes(mash & roast) and veg(chips were charged extra if you wanted them)
My husband had a bacon Caesar salad and fillet of salmon again served with mash & veg. Both of our dinners were absolutely fabulous.
The bar food also looked lovely
Breakfast was buffet style and was well stocked and very satisfactory!
The staff are all very friendly and well equipped to deal with the large crowd in the hotel. I'd say this hotel is a very family friendly hotel. There is a little playground. I could see a bouncy castle outside by the playground and plenty of green areas for the kids to play on.

On our experience I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anybody.

Nice hotel with many ammenities. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was initially attentive.

Apparently this hotel is a popular venue for wedding receptions/parties. I would advise that the guest ask if any parties are occurring during their stay. The party guests were outside the lower area and the party apparently followed. I was woken many times until nearly 4:00 am on the morning of my departure. I cannot blame the hotel but would advise that prospective visitors ask this simple question. Oddly enough, this happened on a Thursday night so do not assume that it would only happen on the weekend.
Faceclothes are not supplied in the room, so ask. I asked on two separate occasions and still didn't get one. Either bring your own or don't leave the desk without getting one.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the bar/restaurant area. Wifi in room 419 is poor.

My self and my other half went down here for a quiet 2 night weekend away. On starters the staff where excellent friendly and helpful. I booked an executive suite with a lake view all of which i paid extra for we got room 429 in the finish. I don't see the point in paying anything extra for the suite or the lake view as you can only see a little of the lake and all the suite gives is a little extra space and a couch that we never sat on. The rooms are in need of a renovation and new beds as they where not comfortable. The pictures on the website do not show the true story I would say the pictures are about ten years old. Also not helping was the fact that we got woken up by the wedding party continuing on the celebrations at 4 am on our floor and they have a lot of wedding's i'm lead to believe. This is no fault of the hotel and I did hear someone coming up to try to quiet the crowd but to no avail. I was a little miffed by how the complaint was handled on checking out I got an apology and "we did have a few complaint's about that" but nothing else was said on the matter I regret paying the full price now. We ate in the bar and restaurant on both nights and carvery during the day and I have to say the food and service was absolutely excellent we could not praise that aspect enough there is an excellent team of staff at this hotel. The spa and leisure facilities are also very good. Overall unless there was a renovation of the hotel I would not return as a guest I have had better hotels for a lot less than I spent for here but I would stop for food if I was passing.

Room Tip: Lake view probably not worth the extra money and nor is paying extra for a suite. Ask for a room awa...

Was here recently for 5 days great break. Food was very good but too much off it a lot off waste could not eat it all. Asked for smaller potion but still too much. Rooms were big and well appointed cleaned daily. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Pool is big and warm enough. Didn't try the gym but looks impressive .Our room looked on to the lake stunning view 435. Nice lit path walk to shore . Small play area and bouncy castle for the children . Plenty seating on a large open lawn so you can sit while they play and make friends. Really enjoyed it and would love to go back.

A wonderful hotel on the lake, we popped out one evening in the great weather for food and a stroll down to the lake, the food was basic but nice the service friendly.

There are great areas outside for chilling out with family and friends in the bright evenings.
It’s certainly a great venue for a wedding, which I have attended in the past and really enjoyed.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the Lake are beautiful.
