“Good hotel”
Reviewed 14 October 2013 via mobile

I spent one night at this hotel during a business trip in Ireland. The building is modern, and just outside Mullingar, in a quiet residential area. There’s plenty of parking. The main hall is very elegant, with a huge chandelier, bunches of fresh flowers and several sitting areas.
Check in was fast, I was on my own but was given a very big room on the second floor. There were one double bed and one single bed. I also had a spacious working area, with both cabled and wifi internet. No password was requested, and Wi-Fi worked properly throughout the building, both from my PC and my smartphone.
The bathroom had all necessary amenities necessary when you travel with your hand luggage and are unable to bring lots of liquids: shower gel, soap, shampoo and body lotion. There was even a shower cap. Water was hot, and I was given plenty of clean fresh bath towels.
In general, my room was very clean and comfortable. The pillow was a bit tough, to tell the truth.
I appreciated the full continental breakfast, with lots of cold and hot items like eggs, sausages, bacon, fruit, cereals, jam and so on.
The price very good for the overall quality.

Dear Reviewer, thank you for your review and I am pleased to note you found our staff to be friendly and enjoyed your stay overall. With regard to Sunday lunch we have a set menu for Sunday lunch in the Terrace restaurant but offer alternative options in the Horsehoe bar that vary in price. I will also address the issue you experienced with Wi-Fi as we have invested heavily in Wi-Fi and I will speak with our company provider on this matter. I do hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Mullingar Park Hotel in the future. Kind regards Matt O Connor

Had a light meal in the very stylish Bar at the Mullingar Park Hotel, seafood chowder was not up to scratch but the atmosphere and excellent wines made for a pleasant evening. Desert of white and milk choclate mousse was to die for. There were no noisy TV's music etc. A pleasant evening

Room Tip: Try Mr Wongs restaurant as well at this hotel

I have always appreciated the hotel service in the Far East. You feel the dedication of staff and the strong sense of hospitality. You will find the same ethos in the Mullingar Park. The staff are proud of their hotel and go out of their way to show it by the trouble they take to attend to their visitors. The reception desk (Catriona) helped me print ferry tickets and the restaurant staff went out of their way to help my daughter gather and package some food to substitute for a breakfast we didn't have time to take at table. Rooms are modern and well appointed. Beds comfortable. The food quality in the Bistro and at breakfast is excellent. The bar is convivial and the spa great. All in all, an enterprise that deserves your business.

Room Tip: Standard rooms with double + single beds have plenty of room. Overlooking spacious car park, but qui...

This is a lovely hotel. bright modern and airy. good value and very accessible from Dublin. Excellent conference location. The leisure centre is modern and welcoming. Food is excellent. Huge space throughout the hotel gives a real feeling of airiness.

We stayed in the mullingar park hotel for a conference meeting and I have to say it was well worth the trip.We traveled from co mayo which is not so far away and we found this gem of a hotel just off the main Dublin road. The hotel itself is beautiful clean and has plenty of parking. We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar the night we stayed and didn't find it overpriced, bar staff were friendly but did mix up our drinks order everytime. Our room was just unbelievable, huge bathroom, massive sittingroom and a bed with a tv tucked into the end of it.I have to say we paid €120 for the one night stay and I think that it was very reasonable .We enjoy breakfast and dinner the next day with beautiful food and a wide range of desserts. The only thing that annoyed me was when we were checking out a blond middle aged receptionist was quiet rude and lacked any personality towards us,I feel this should be addressed as its very important to be pleasant to your customers instead of looking down your nose at them.Never the less I hope to be back soon.

I stayed at the Mullingar Park Hotel recently having attended a wedding there. Everything was beautiful, well maintained, clean, and had fresh flower arrangements everywhere. The food was fantastic. The breakfast was great, loads of choice in either hot or cold buffet. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and very helpful. The leisure centre was very welcome after a long day travelling and dancing at the wedding. The pool area was spotless and we enjoyed the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, etc. We would highly recommend this hotel. Would love to go back again.
