we arrived to a very out dated room and bath room and very small. we rang to get the heating put on and we went shopping and came back to an ice box , i had to ring twice again and then about an hour later , we where given a plug in fan heater (great for my sinuses not ) . we then where kept up most of the night with the noise from a night club . so disappointed . we also had to carry our luggage wo floors as there is no lift .

Just back from a night away with the girls and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. No heating in the bedroom, no hot water, non smoking room stunk of stale smoke, bath was dirty. Very outdated hotel, will not be returning EVER!!!

4 of us organised an evening away to relax and get a break from our busy work and family lives unfortunatly that was not to be. The hotel is so run down the floors are dirty, there is a dusky damp smell in part, we laughed it off and hoped for the best. We checked in and went to our rooms where it just kept going down hill, no heating in room, too cold to have a shower, bathroom out dated and in some parts dirty! I did wonder if there was a cleaner at all as the carpets in the hallways where also dirty. After asking at least 4 times they finally gave us a small heater not before we where told by 2 different members of staff that once we have a few drinks we wouldnt notice!!! We where so disappointed we had really been looking forward to our stay. We headed out for a meal hoping to return to a warmer room, not to happen, instead it was now a cold room with added music, from the nightclub near by, music went on until all hours of the morning. So we tried to get some sleep unsuccessfully got up early had breakfast and left going home more tired than when we arrived.

Unbelieveable value for a hotel in the centre of town. The hotel itself may be well-used and a little worn around the edges but it has a great buzz, a great bar, a fantastic restaurant (we had the early bird on Saturday night...fabulous food, fantastic service) and a very good breakfast. all the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortble. It might be a bit noisy for some but what else would you expect in a hotel with a late bar and live music in the centre of a busy town.
To sum up, stayed last weekend, booked in again next weekend.

Room Tip: There are smoking rooms available. None of the pretending while smoking out the window nonsense that...

Arrived at 3pmish to The Greville Arms last week. We walked through the back so had to walk through the pub, so that wasn't very appealnig. But the reception was lovely.

We arrived to our room with the door open, very scary and off-putting. So after that, took me a little while to settle properly. But besides that, rooms were nice, basic, but nice. What more do you need? Large TV, kettle, nice bathroom, etc.

EXCEEPPTTTT!! Looking for one of my false eyelashes I had just dropped from the night before under the bed, I pull it out, so I think. I pulled out somebody ELSES set of false eyelashes, coincidence, but a really weird one. I don't care about this detail, just letting you know the nitty gritty ;)

We ate dinner in the hotel, food was nice. Portions were verryy big, off-putting for me cause I've a very small appetite! We had breakfast the next morning too, which was on til 10am. It was nice, basic, with lots of drinks to take (bottles of lucozade, bottles of juice) which is a lot better than the usual hotel tiny glass at a time. Was disappointed with the lack of fresh fruit though! :(

Overall, a nice hotel with nice basic accomodation and a generally nice atmosphere and time there. I'd stay again.

This hotel has a lovely athmosphere. The bedrooms may be dated but they are comfortable. The food is excellent and great value for money. Very good location and the weekend entertainment is very good. Loved our stay
