The hotel is located in upper part of Sinaia.
You need a car to get to the Pelesh Castle or the main city.
If you are looking for a solitude place in Sinaia, then this is the place with the Alex good Hungarian restaurant 50 meters away.
Rooms are very nice, but you need to climb many many stairs.

We turned up here unexpectedly after a problem with the place we were meant to be staying for our final night, and it couldn’t have been better. The rooms are warm and beautiful – recently done up and with character – and the service was friendly and efficient (and English-speaking). There’s also a lovely view of the mountains, although it would feel a long way up hill to get there if you were walking! All in all much better than we had a right to expect for the price (79 lei – under £20) My only criticism would be that breakfast started rather late, around 9am, which isn’t so convenient if you have an early start.

Room Tip: We stayed in a standard double, but there are also suites for only a little bit extra.

stayed there with friends .. the owner was really nice and speaks pretty good english (which is a big bonus for romania) . cozy and clean rooms, amazing view from the window in the upper rooms and plenty of hot water available at all times. 10 minutes walking from the center of the city and the cable care to the 2K meter mountain and peles castle .
in short Highly recommended...

Room Tip: all the rooms are the same great quality

I have stayed twice so far with a newborn and plan to book it in the future as well. It provides you with the old charm of Sinaia's monarch period, while offering up to date services. As a tip, I would recommend booking either the downstairs suite or the double bedroom upstairs, both offering a "foaier" where you can have marvelous views of the surrounding mountains and Sinaia itself. On the downside, there is considerable walking distance to the city center (10-15 mins) or Peles castle (20 mins). Towels could be bigger and windows could be equipped with curtains (plenty of light in the summer mornings). There is also a Hungarian themed restaurant close by (Alex) - 1 min walk uphill. Parking is no issue. No AC in rooms but you won't need it in Sinaia.

Room Tip: As a tip, I would recommend booking either the downstairs suite or the double bedroom upstairs, both...

In October 2013 my husband and I decided to visit Romania. We were so lucky to find this great place to stay for three amazing days. We spend a wonderful weekend in Vila Sinaia 1929.

The villa is at very good location - you can enjoy the nature and the views; the city center and the Peles castle are within walking distance. And you can park your car for free in front of the villa.
The building is very beautiful. The check-in is until 7.00 pm.
The prices are very good. And you can pay with a credit card.
The room - spacious and cozy, very quiet, great view from the balcony, very clean and warm (it's was windy and chilly outside). The bathroom was clean and very nice. For all 3 days it was very warm and cozy.
There is Wi-Fi in the room.

Sinaia is small and beautiful town. Great nature views - the amazing Peles castle, the autumn colors - it's a must-see place. You can enjoy the silence, the fresh air, the sun, beautiful autumn trees and just forget about the stress and problems. It is a very peaceful place.
We will most definitely return to Vila Sinaia 1929, but next time we'll bring our friends with us as well.

Room Tip: We stayed at room 4 - 2nd floor - great view even from the bathroom window. The room has a small bal...

The place is elegant, classy, without ostentation and it quickly brings you back in time to a golden, royal era. The view from our room was magnificent and we enjoyed also the touching care of the personnel. Everything seemed to have fallen into place and when it did not, the staff was ready to oblige. A good breakfast, in the comfort zone, but it can be improved on, to perhaps turn it into a gourmet style. The location of the place is the key: with wonderful views towards the mountains and the hilly part of Sinaia. We shall return...

Room Tip: Ask for room 5...

Probably the only villa in Sinaia, which is still owned and run buy the family which built it 1929. Our grandparents built the villa in 1929 as holiday house for them and their family. In 1947 the communists nationalized the villa and neither our grandparents nor our parents could use it for more then 50 years. We got in court our property in 2000, in a very poor condition. For several years we had renovated the villa bringing it to the XXI century standards. ... more   less
