“Clean, modern with quiet surroundings.”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

Though it was a business trip but we chose to stay in Algeciras (instead of Gibraltar as hotels there are few) in a 2-bedroom suites because we knew we had to stay beyond one week. The beauty of it is it has a small kitchen that can meet our everyday needs. Rooms are big and internet is of high speed.

Hotel is really clean and location is away from the busy city area but taxis are reasonable and convenient. We had breakfast there beyond 2 weeks and they don't change their menu, so I would suggest a change of spread for breakfast menu.

The suites also provide a dish washer and washing machine. However, they should print instructions on how to use in English rather than just Spanish which I couldn't understand. They sent their maintenance people to help and we could use them.

Overall stay was pleasant and we definitely would stay there again on our next trip.

Room Tip: I suppose any room is comfortable as it is located in a quite location.

Came for one night, arrived very very late, but had emailed ahead to let them know that so that they didn't release the room.
Chose a two bedroomed apartment, which I know they have two versions, one with twin beds and one with double beds. I requested twin beds as I have two teenagers who definately did not wish to share a bed.
In fact, it was bigger than what you can imagine for a hotel. There was a seperate bedroom with a small double bed (daughter sorted) and then two twin beds pushed together in a different room, to make a very large double bed ... Us sorted, then there was a semi wall with a swivel tv, dividing the lounge area .. Which had a double sofa bed (son sorted) which they had already made up.
The room has a fully functioning kitchen, oven, fridge, washer dryer, dishwasher ... Breakfast bar. None of which we needed to use.
There is free wifi in the hotel, no trouble logging into it in the bedroom, the bat area was a bit touch and go for reception.
There is no restaurant .... But a full bar .. No person under the age of 18 allowed, and police do stop in for their coffee, so it has to be adhered to.
Next to the bar is a gambling room .... No facilities for children anywhere.
Underground parking is €11 a night.
Breakfast was superb ... There was a little card on the table advising that cooked breakfasts could be ordered, but the buffet was more than adequate.
All types of milk ... Including soya and condensed ... Cereals, fresh fruit, toasting bread, three types of bread rolls, mini almond croissants, plain croissants, danishes, quince jelly, cheeses, serano ham, normal ham, butters, olive oil, margarine, nuts and dried fruits, selection of juices. Well worth the extra euros on the bill.
Everything was immaculate and clean. Bathrooms well stocked with supplies.
The only reason I haven't given full scores, is due to the lack of facilities for younger guests, and the no ability to provide any food for late guests.
From Malaga airport to the hotel was under two hours using the toll motorway.

We stayed here for 1 night only in December 2013 and paid a rate of €60 room only. Hotel is modern and clean, but they are the only good points.
Only after we had checked in were we told the lift was out of order and our room was on the 3rd floor! Car parking outside limited but FREE otherwise it's €11 a night.
Short work in to main town - keep away from Port area some very dodgy characters, head a couple of streets back and you will find bars, restaurants and shops all very Spanish.
Bathroom tiny and shower only gave out cold water, when we reported it to reception they said they would look at it but never did, complained on check out and got free breakfast which was ok. Bedroom was fine but I think they have concentrated more on the gadgets and modern feel than the service.
In my opinion try next door at the AC Marriott, better rate and service.

This place is absolutely amazing. The actual bedroom was very big but the bathroom was the smallest bathroom I have ever had the misfortune of using on all my worldly travels. It was so small that you could sit on the toilet and clean your teeth. You could not walk between the toilet and wash basin and it was almost impossible to get into the shower without climbing over the toilet. It was terrible! The door to this bathroom that was no bigger than a cupboard was swollen with water at the bottom and distorted and therefore could not be closed and pieces of the door were falling off. This bathroom was not very clean but I guess this was because it was also impossible to clean properly because of its size. The location of the hotel is not very good unless you have a car or get a taxi or are prepared to walk to the one restaurant within reasonable walking distance. The buffet breakfast was a bit spartan, with little choice, and getting coffee from the machine took ages. We were glad we were only staying one night!

Room Tip: Get a room with a bathroom that you can turn around in or check in next door at the Marriott Suites.

Very nice room and a great breakfast. Large room with kitchen and sitting area. Nice style. Close to the harbour and walking distance to the city center. Perfect for my one night stay before leaving on a vessel.

Very nice, clean and spacious rooms.Modern decoration and design.
Helpful and friendly staff.
There is no restaurant, only fast snacks offered during the day.
Breakfast is good, with various choices of cold cuts, cereals.
Poor Internet WI-fi, when hotel is full it's impossible to use.

Certainly the best value for money hotel in a 2 week long trip. At 50EUR including breakfast you can't beat it. Clean, modern and close to the limited attractions of Algeciras, you can't fault it. Add in a tapas meal on the beach nearby and you have the makings of an awesome evening in the South of Spain
