“fantastic lunch!”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

Four of us went for lunch today to El Benito. The menu is varied & appealing, the service & the food was wonderful, good value & well presented.
We were talked through the menu & advised about lunchtime specials. The building itself it traditional old Spanish but comfortable & welcoming. We frequently go there for morning coffee but decided to try it for lunch today, an experience we look forward to repeating.
One of the most super places I have eaten at in Spain

“Outstanding food, service and setting”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

This restaurant is just off the motorway from Antequera to Córdoba, housed in a typical Andalusian country house with fireplace, wood beam ceilings and terracotta tiled floors.

Plenty of parking, with roofed "sheds" providing welcome shade.

The food is excellent, with plenty of local dishes from the Antequera region, plus Andalusian standards as well as dishes recreated from the region's moorish past.

The staff is especially friendly, helpful and efficient. Unless you absolute know what you want, let them advice you. On some dishes they will serve half portions.

Prices are very reasonable.

Not to miss is a visit to the free museum housed in the old church that forms part of the compound, as well as a tour of the grounds, decorated with farm tools and appliances.

“Wonderful Oases”
Reviewed 20 June 2013

In an antique ‘Cortijo Rural’ next to the Cordoba-Malaga motorway A45, exit 86, you’ll find Restaurant, ‘Caserio de San Benito’, a marvellous venue for any break, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Ample parking. On Saturday nights, barbecue with live music for a dance or just to listen. A very special ambience you seldom will encounter. Hospitality is the trademark of the house, with a well-built twenty-year reputation on client satisfaction.
The lady proprietor Esperanza, the mother of the house takes care that every minute detail is executed, as it should be. Her assistants radiate the same remarkable pleasant personal attention, friendliness and perfection.
The food quality is top and ecological balanced. The homemade dishes and deserts are an invitation for your return. Modestly priced. Highly recommended.
