We stumbled upon this place accidentally, while stopping by Antequera on our way to Granada, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the nice service and the good food. And it was open at 3:40 pm on Sunday, which made it probably the only place in Andalucia.

We stopped here after a long day of exploring the Alhambra in Grenada. We were hungry but drove through the narrow streets of town and found a parking garage because the reviews were so good. And the reviews were right. We ate in Tapas de Arte, which is not exactly in the restaurant, it's right next door, but we were the only people in there and that made it easier to bring our kids in. We enjoyed our drinks, my coffee was excellent, and we just basically went down the line ordering food. The almond soup with garlic was crazy tangy. The olives were delightful! We tried porro, and the boys even loved their little burgers. Everything was going fine, nice and calm. Then came the lomo. The lomo. It was like eating happiness. We devoured it and ordered more. It was unforgettable!!

Very nice authentic food. Prices are ok.
Unfortunately only Spanish speaking. Only Spanish menus.
We had one starter and two main courses for two people, that was plenty.

This restaurant opens for lunch at 1 pm. The style of the restaurant is rustic, but elegant. In the main dining room there is a very large fireplace. The tables are set with white tablecloths. The restaurant has recovered old traditional recipes and is a restaurant for gourmets. The menu is quite studied and entrees cost only 10 to 13 euros. As a starter the croquetas are very good, with 10 pieces, each one being different from the others. Service is very friendly and the waitress is very informative. This restaurant is located in the center of downtown and is a great place for lunch. Reservations are suggested because the place fills up, being probably the best restaurant downtown.

On the first day we went there, we were quite impressed. My wife had the bacalao con tomate and I had the solomillo de cerdo. Both dishes were excellent. We again went the next day because we enjoyed the restaurant so much the first time. On the second day my wife had the omelet of vegetables and I had the lengua. Again, both dishes were excellent. This will be the restaurant we go to when we visit the city in the future.
