“Rough and slippery hiking trails”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

The landscape in this nature park is amazing, a one hour drive from Malaga. There are two official trails from the vistor center, the "ruta verde" and the "ruta amarillo". The first takes about one hour and the second about two hours.

The visitor center is located in the middle of the nature park and has a rather small car park. It consists of an exhibition room, a shop and a cafetaria. The two trails start here and there is a mirador. The cafetaria serves "hamburguesas" made of pork ham.

We are not experienced hikers and we took the short trail "ruta verde" with two children 6 and 9 years old. The landscape during the trail was extremely beautiful, but the trail itself was not easy. Some parts were very slippery and you had to climb from one slippery stone to another slippery stone. My urban walkingshoes were inadequate, you really need hiking boots or sturdy athletic shoes.

“Unique Landscape”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

Guy in the visitor centre was friendly and very helpful. Amazing views, Two 'signed' walks of various lengths to get you in amongst the landscape and interesting rock formations. It had been rainy in the days before and so the path and rocks were quite slippery, so some care was need.

“Great views...worth a visit if staying on the Costa del Sol”
Reviewed 6 February 2014

Well the previous reviews are accurate. The site is a humbling experience, Be careful when visiting after rain the previous day. The paths were very slippery and muddy. No fee to enter and small museum in the visitor center.

“Weird place but unique and very interesting”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

Great food, service and staff with an open aspect but the terrain will be awkward for people with mobility issues.
