A charming hotel, with a lovely room in the small town of Carmona, Spain. Language barriers aside, we loved our room in this charming hotel. The bed was a little hard, but other than that we enjoyed our stay in this town and in this hotel.

We stayed here because we could not get a hotel in Sevilla. Did not regret it at all. Very nice town, great place to stay. Breakfast and tapas on the square (two excellent bars in front of the hotel) were super. Easy parking and fast to Sevilla with own car. The posada is great. We first had the room on the top floor but this had a bad smell (something wrong with the sewer probably). Then relocated to bigger room at the front. No extra charges. Large room, great shower, good bed. There is a nice cool patio to do some emailing and lit office work. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Situated in a square in the old part of the town this hotel is a really great budget-boutique option. I stayed in room No. 2, which was one the small side but perfect for me as a solo traveller. It was nicely styled and had a small window which faced onto a side street, which made the room somewhat dark, but very quiet. The bathroom's had an exposed stone wall and stylish little sink, but the peeling paint in the shower detracted from overall charm. A real shame as it could be easily tidied up. Another small, but important point, was that, during my short stay, whilst wifi was on offer, the connection kept dropping.
Unusually for Spain, and this type of hotel, the room had a kettle and tea/coffee on offer, which was a very welcome touch.
One final point - outside the owners control - don't necessarily rely on 'satnav' to get you right up to the hotel unless you enjoy navigating around the very tiny streets of the old town!

The man on reception when we arrived and also when we checked out could not have been more unfriendly. He had no English and did not seem to want to help when we arrived, until someone turned up by chance who could speak English. When we checked out, the same unfriendly man was on the telephone and did not acknowledge us or change the stern look on his face. The room he took us to had an unmade bed in it (!) but he did try another room which was ready. However, the first room had been much bigger and nicer than the one we got, so that was a disappointment. Our room was clean but small and we had nowhere to put anything except on the floor, which was a bit of a pain. There was another member of staff around later who was friendly but the original man was who we remember most.
The air con worked well and we were lucky enough with the weather to need it!

My husband and I stayed here one night on our way back to Seville. Our room faced the plaza and was on the top floor. This was the matrimonal room and was very comfy and the bathroom spacious. Wi Fi was available but not on the top floor. Carmona is a pretty town and good to walk around. Good value for money. Parking is at the front of the hotel in the plaza

Annoyed to find the Parador full, we stayed here instead and are really thankful we did so. Our room (number 20) was on two levels overlooking the square. Lovely and fairly recent restoration. I suspect some of the wooden fittings may not stand the strain of regular use, but the bathroom was great and the "cama matrimonial" very comfortable indeed.

Carmona is such a beautiful town!
