“Great place for tapas”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Next to the church, plaza Christo Rey - good selection of fresh tapas; packed with locals on Saturday evening. Small inside, mostly outside seating or just standing room. Calamares, boquerones, croquetas, the works.

“Good Spanish food”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

The authentic spanish food in this little bar/restaurant is excellent. The quality of the food, wines, and sherries is very good and reasonably priced.

The service can be a little slow as there is only one waiter but hey, who's in a hurry in Carmona.

Well worth dropping in if you are in Carmona.

“Going where the Spanish Go...”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

We stumbled across this place at the top of the village, situated in a tiny square. Don't be put off by it's modest appearance, this was one of top places to eat! We could have happily eaten there everyday if we hadn't have lived so far. They took quite a while to serve us which in my personal experience is not the norm in this part of Spain and so at first we presumed they were being rude as we weren't a local. But it was fabulous. A family run Taverna where you can expect to have real authentic tasty dishes. Again our experience of eating out outside Seville city was amazing in comparison. We ate ourselves silly and just chilled there for hours. Then gave us complimentary lemon cello shots afterwards which finished the meal off perfectly. NOTE: It closes at 5pm -7pm and stays open until customers have had enough!

“Really good experience”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

Went on a Sunday night around 9 p.m. Full of character, and characters, including people of all ages coming from the evening service at a nearby church. Food tasty, varied, and very reasonably priced. A genuine local experience.

“Great tapas!”
Reviewed 24 February 2013

Tapas are lovely. I especially enjoyed the montaditos and the typical carmona dish of espnacas con garbanzos (spinach and chickpeas) Reasonably priced and great service. The owners also run The Forum bar and cafeteria, just off the Plaza San Fernando which is also a great cafe with the yummiest cakes!
