The hotel has a decent location about 5-6 mins walk from the beach. The hotel is very dated and sparsely equipped. There is a small pool and simple restaurant.

The rooms are decorated very cheaply and are tiny. Our room had a shabby microwave sitting on top of an old fridge. Even though it describes itself as a apart-hotel it really isn't as there are no facilities or even a basic food prep area.

The staff were friendly and willing to help.

In-room internet is pretty flaky. Limited parking is available so try to book it ahead of time. It will cost either euro7 or euro5 per day depending on the time of the year.

This place is though very cheap and so you get what you pay for. I would stay here again if budget was critical and I didn't expect to spend anytime in the tiny rooms.

Can't go wrong with this place. Every one polite. Room spacious and clean with bath and enclosed shower. Balcony overlooking pool which is children friendly and big enough for a daily swim. Good pool bar with reasonable rates to the local bars.
Can not fault for the price.... spot on with polite english speaking staff.
the bakery opposite has a very good reputation but we never used it. 5min walk from beach and a cheap supermarket just 100m down the road where you can buy everything you need.
we will definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will be using it again
. We read other reviews about noise etc from the road which we did not notice. If we were to make any changes we would like the room to have air con....but the patio door open with curtians closed was ample enough with the weather in the late 20's early 30's degrees

We booked through a discount website for the Easter holidays. As the property offered parking and we could also take our dog with us, it seemed the ideal choice. Unfortunately there is very limited parking available on site as compared to the number of apartments.
We eventually found on street parking which was not easy as it was Easter.
The apartment complex is tidy and clean. There is a choice of two bars on opposite sides of the property, the sports bar overlooks the pool and another is next to the restaurant. We didnt eat there but met someone who praised the mixed grill for two.
The apartment was a studio on the first floor looking over the pool. It was basic, rather dated but still excellent value for money considering it was a Bank holiday. Just a couple of blocks up from the beach, several bars and restaurants close by.
If you are looking for a luxurious apartment then this is not the place for you but it has everything you need for a family holiday or weekend away.
Can be noisy at night with people returning to their rooms but it is a holiday environment.
Will stay again when we next visit Fuengirola

Room Tip: I would think that the higher you are, you hear less people walking above you. Avoid rooms near the lifts

Excellent staff/reception etc.good location for beach and all things central. Balcony but no air-con in rooms. Be aware wifi only free to use unlimited in reception area. May buy wifi for apartment at a cost of approx €4 per day per device. Plenty shops and a supermarket very local, baker with fresh bread and delicious cakes. Many eating places walking distance.

Room Tip: We stayed in a studio apartment self catering and was happy with the facilities provided.nothing posh but adequate.

After my intial review of the Veramar last year I have now revisited this hotel and spent a further 6 days there, This visit was not as good as the last visit however.
On this visit I had a room located on the second floor close to the road, This room turned out to by quiet noisy and I was we was kept awake the first few nights by the local bins being emptied, on our last night the hotel had a influx of new guest arrive and these Gals were quiet chatty on the Balcony below ours... This in itself did not bother me but as Spanish resident in the room next door to mine did take quiet badly and was very vocal practically screaming the rest of the hotel awake and he proceed to very louder bang on the walls.but this settled quickly.
There was more than enough Sun loungers this time around and the staff where just as friendly.
Also Reception has received a nice spruce up with some very comfy chairs.
My two biggest complaints where the Wifi Service...
The free wifi in reception worked fine without problems as long as you was in reception, The paid for room wifi however was almost impossible to connect to within the room despite paying for the log on details, I tried many times and eventually gave up and just sat in reception.
The other complaint was the bed, There was only one pillow and the bed was quite hard which gave me terrible back ache, My daughter however said her bed was fine.
Nice cheap and cheerful hotel but next time I am going to spend a little more and getting closer to the front and to the restaurants.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the reception side and the higher the better I would expect.
