“Value for money”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 via mobile

We have just arrived back after our stay here and have to say dont believe all the negative feedback on here. The staff are friendly, the hotel is bang in the middle of bars, beaches, shops, restaurants. The only gripe we had ( family of four ) was the entertainment was on too late ie 10pm.
Manuel Gadz the Restaurant Manager was lovely, polite and so were all his staff. We did not come across any rudeness or hostility. Laurence the fitness instructor was brilliant, Angela the lady in the bar spoke perfect English and helped us with drinks etc.
We went all inclusive but this oy includes morning/lunch/dinner but anything at the bar such as ice cream or food you have to pay for. When you order drinks on all inclusive they will ask you to sign the receipt- don't worry as you won't be charged for these as they have a list at the bar of the drinks you can have.
Overall clean, friendly hotel in perfect location.

Situated almost on the beach and close to every amenity possible, this could be a 5 star hotel! The breakfasts are to die for, swimming and bar available on the 5th floor, helpful concierge - just couldn't ask for more. My wife and I will definitely return next year if not sooner

After reading various reviews, I had my doubts but this hotel ticked so many boxes for myself and my daughter that I'm pleased I didn't listen to some of the unwarranted moans. We asked beforehand for a room at the rear and our room was ideal and spacious. The room was cleaned EVERY day. The pool area was adequate although there was a problem with a chlorine incident on the day we left. The position of this hotel is wonderful. Please just go B&B basis, as there are so many places to eat nearby. Thumbs Up

stayed at this hotel in may for 60th birthday celebrations, hotel inside was clean & rooms were nice but outside could have been lot better, the meals were ok but not a lot of choice as some hotels ive been to ,there was no entertainment either , some staff were ok but others just did there job & not that friendly which to me counts a lot if u have pleasant staff, the hotel was right next to night clubs so some of our party didn't get much sleep , I was lucky as on back of hotel, if I go back to fuengirola it will b to a different hotel xx

Room Tip: ask for rooms at back of hotel xx

I have just returned from a week stay in the Las Palmeras with my husband. The location is perfect but the hotel itself could badly do with some entetainment. Front of house staff not very friendly. Breakfast was poor.Don't think ill be back. We were on the seventh floor so you would not want to be afraid of heights

I'm currently staying in this apparent "4 star" hotel. The rooms are clean but are very outdated. It is in a great location, just a two minute walk from the beach. But that is all that's great about this hotel. On arrival we were greeted by the most rudest man behind the desk that told us our room number but not how to get there. If you are English and have a problem prepare yourself to be stood there for a while trying to explain yourself to the staff, as they cannot speak a word of English. I have come to this Hotel on a half board basis. The food is absolutely disgusting. We are not fussy people, like I will literally eat anything, but the food comes either undercooked, cold or towards Luke warm. The only edible food on the table has to be the pasta and tomato sauce, which is served every night.
Last night was chicken curry or should I say more like bone and oil, with a side order of stodgy rice. The staff in the canteen (notice how I didn't say restaurant) are very impatient, very abrupt and cannot speak a word of English, so ordering drinks may take you a while.
I would definitely recommend having a holiday to Malaga as it's a beautiful place but I will NEVER recommend this hotel.
This is not a 4 star family hotel.
If you're booked in to this hotel on a half board or all-inc basis, I advise you to bring money so that you can eat out because trust me you're not eating here to enjoy the food, you're eating here for survival.
