One of the best holidays I have been on, hotel was very clean and everyone was very friendly!

Hotel is right on the beach with loads of things to do only metres away, great food and staff.

The Thomson Entertainment team were the best I have ever come across and managed to make every day fun and exciting. Lisa, Craig and Emily were top notch and made the holiday for us.

Overall great time had by all and I cant fault it in any way.

We arrived home today from the Yaramar and had to write my review immediately! The hotel is lovely. All rooms have sea views and some have pool views too. The pool area isnt enormous but we always had sun loungers as you're not able to reserve them until 9am so no need to set the alarm on your holidays. If you like the beach for a change you only pay 5 Euros per day for 2 loungers and a parasol & you also get 2 glasses of Sangria. Make sure you wear sandals from your lounger to the sea though to avoid burning your feet. I've never moved so fast in my life! Food was fabulous. Plenty of choice. We are used to all inclusive holidays so we assumed we'd pay a fortune for drinks but they had happy hour from 12-1 during the day and again from 8:30-9:30, sometimes until 10pm. The dearest thing I bought was a large bottle of water from the pool bar and it cost 2.80 Euros. I then found the same sized bottle in the supermarket for 26 cents! The entertainment was the best we've ever seen. Well done to Millie, Elle, Dan and Craig who put on professional shows and all could sing and dance beautifully. On 2 nights of the week we had entertainment from a comedian (very funny) & a singer/comedian (excellent). The in-house band Sophistication (Laura & Jesus) were fabulous too and we had a brilliant time each night. If you fancy a wander around the beach promenade is lovely and the backstreets behind the hotel are traditional narrow Spanish streets with tapas bars & restaurants. We went on the free Mijas trip but would recommend you go directly there on local bus as the free trip involves a 2 hour sales tour to a mattress factory. It takes 1 hour to get there as you go through Benalmadena & Torremolinos on the way picking people up & you end up with 2 hours in Mijas (which was beautiful when we eventually got there!) I would definately go there again. In fact my parents are now going to book it for September & I am confident they will have a great time. I hope the entertainment team will still be there for them to enjoy as much as we did. Superb holiday!

Room Tip: We were on 8th floor but it goes up to 15th. There are 4 lifts and none of them were out of order at...

Stayed in the Yaramar for 2weeks 1 - 15th July. Great hotel and superb staff in the Restaurant, bar and pool bar. Very hard working and always smiling. The hotel is in a brilliant location, with its own private beach just opposite, where guests can get two sunbeds, umbrella and a glass of sangria for just 5 euros, what a bargain. This also helps the pool situation, where there are not nearly enough sunbeds for the amount of guests at the hotel. However, this is a general problem nowerdays, and the beach facility ensured that this did not impede our enjoyment. The food was of a high standard, although somewhat repetative, but generally met our expectations of a 4 star in Spain. The rooms were spotless, however, they could do with an update. Public areas were nice and comfortable and the happy hours at the various bars were really good value. Nice to have branded names and mixers in bottles, not the pressurised stuff. Reception staff were excellent, we e mailed them prior to arrival to request high floor overlooking the pool, and that is exactly what we got - great customer service.

Thomson entertainment staff were lovely, put on excellent shows and worked really hard, however, the Thomson service reps could have been better. We did not find them helpful unless you were booking trips.

Outside the hotel the area is fantastic, nice and flat for walking with plenty of reasonably priced bars etc. Good value at the Upper Crust cafe for lunch. We took the train to neighbouring resorts, really cheap and easy to use, and always on time.

Overall we had a fantastic time and would definately return.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor the views are wonderful

We have just returned for a weeks stay at the Yaramar Hotel. We had a great time. The check in ran smoothly they help you with your bags and the room was ready. However, at first when we arrived we were un sure as we are quite a young couple (22 and 24) as the other guests were a bit older. However, just after an hour we realised the hotel was great and suited our needs. we had a sea view room which was amazing, the rooms are a little out dated but to be honest you only sleep in there as you spend most of your time by the pool or on the beach so that didnt bother us.
All of the staff are really friendly and helpful and very generous with the drinks, there are at least 3 happy hours a day so you do save a lot of money. The Entertainment staff were brilliant (Millie, Ell, Craig and Dan). They were always trying to get you involved in activities and there something for everyone. Criag was our favourite he would always make sure you were ok and you were happy. However, we felt the day time activities they could of put on like table tennis tournaments or pool tournaments as a lot of people were interested in this. There was evening entertainment on every night between 8.30-10.30.
The location was brilliant there was numerous restaurants, bars and shops and it only costs you a euro on the bus to go right along the coast which we thought was great.
The food was nice, lots of choice and the staff always made sure your table was tidy and were very quick at tidying your table.
One of the reviews stated there was cracks in the lift and in the windows there was when we were there but they repaired in straight away. The staff were very concerned about your safety and made sure you were happy in your stay. I have never wrote on trip advisor before but i felt Yaramar was excellent and it was one the best holidays we have been on.

We had a great time and we would 100% return to this hotel and recommended it to friends and family.

We spent just one night at the Yaramar last week.
We were very pleased with our lovely sea view room. Buffet breakfast was great. Something for everybody. The pool area was very clean and offered a pleasant resting place during the day. Lots of snacks available at poolside cafe.

Room Tip: Sea view sixth floor was very nice

just back from 2 great weeks at the yaramar with friends. we have been going to the hotel almost every year since it opened and will be back next year, the staff are second to none wether in the pool bar, cocktail bar or the aquarium show bar, however i must state that Antonio who has always been the bar manager in the show bar has been moved to the Florida Spa Hotel and was sorely missed with his humour and the way the bar was run also the restaurant seemed short staffed as in the past a maitre de would show you to your table now it was a case of hunt the table to me this was a drop in class from previous years.the plus points and there were many, the entertainment team of Dan,Craig,Millie and Elle were the best we have seen, very professional, approachable. the shows they put on were of top quality and they always took time out no matter what time of day to speak to everyone of the guests.the food was of good standard ,rooms were cleaned daily and the majority of guests go back this speaks for itself

Room Tip: its a personal choice but whether its sea facing or pool facing the views are great especially good...

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Yaramar, and although you could nit pick and find faults if you wanted to, we found it to be a fabulous hotel, in a wonderful location. Being 35 and 31 we were wondering whether we would stand out like a sore thumb amongst the older clientèle, but it turned out that there were plenty of young couples staying there. The rooms were clean, although a little dated, with a free safe. We paid 30 Euros to hire the fridge for two weeks, which was on the small side but essential to keep your water and drinks cool in the stifling hot weather.
The food was excellent with a wide choice of meats, fish, salad and pasta. it could have been slightly hotter though on some nights. The desserts were slightly disappointing, although there were plenty of fruit, and cheese and biscuits available also. The breakfast choice was first class though.
The drinks prices were about normal for this type of hotel, ranging from 2 euros 50 for a soft drink to 3 euros for a beer up to 5 euros 20 for a spirit with a mixer. There were at least 3 happy hours a day across the various bars though, so that did ease the pain.
The hotel staff were pleasant and cheerful, but I have nothing but praise for the Thomson's Reps and Entertainment Team. Craig, Dan, Elle and Millie worked tirelessly involving everyone where possible and always with a smile on there faces. From the daytime activities to the afternoon quizes they kept us entertained. In the evenings they showed off there wonderful vocal talents with there fabulous shows mostly containing songs from West End musicals although there Mamma Mia show was undoubtedly there best. There were also a couple of British comedians flown in during our stay. One was great but the other one had a tough time of it.
The location is fantastic with numerous bars and eating establishments within easy walking distance should you fancy leaving the hotel. The Upper Crust Cafe which is just arounf the back of the hotel is wonderful for an afternoon drink and snack and very reasonably priced. There is a beach across the road where you can hire a sunbed at a reduced rate. You can also take a 15 minute walk down to the harbour which is beautiful. Just beware the people trying to sell watches, sunglasses and even beggers!
The only major negative about the hotel is the sun bed situation. On the first week people were queuing inside at 8.30am waiting for the doors to open at 9am. There are nowhere near enough sunbeds for a hotel of this size, and even though there is a sign stating that if sunbeds are left unoccupied for more than an hour, bags and towels will be removed, this never happened. Anyone wanting a sun bed between 11am and 3pm had no chance of getting one. This situation does urgently need to be addressed by the hotel management.
We really did have a wonderful time though, and would highly recommend this hotel and location.

Room Tip: We were on floor 14 overlooking the swimming pool and if you can handle the height, the view is fant...
