“Great little break staying here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2014

I stayed here in June 2013 for 4 nights with a girl friend of mine. We wanted a complete break just lying in the sun chilling out and that's what we got. We arrived quite late on an evening flight and when we got to the room there was two trays of food all laid out for us. It was most welcome. In the morning we could see we had a great sea view. There was extensive food available in the mornings for breakfast and also in the evenings. We used the sun beds every day, all day, there were many free ones available. The pools are huge (albeit cold) and were never busy which enabled for a long swim every day. There is a door that opens straight out on to the walkway along the beach, no roads to cross. The walk way was very pleasant although we didn't venture too far only up to some local bars.
Great beach location and not far from the airport.

We have stayed here from our very first family holoday each time we visit Spain. Staff are friendly rooms are clean and the facilities are good. Food is good selection and variety! There is not much entertainment out of season so prepare to go elsewhere. We drove so have easy access anywhere but the bus service is good and taxis are easily caught by asking reception! Only wish they had an indoor pool that children can use as we would stay here on our winter holiday too!

We stayed in this hotel for just one night in February 2014 during a road trip around Spain and Portugal. We booked the hotel on the day and got what we thought was a decent rate given it's 4 star rating.

Our first impressions of the hotel were that it looked like a 4 star hotel. We managed to park right outside and an hotel with good parking was a factor in our decision to book.

The reception staff had our key ready and check in was a very pleasant experience. We were given a voucher for the spa too, which I think is usually extra. Unfortunately we couldn't use this owing to the fact we didn't have any suitable clothing, nor did we have the time. But this was a great little extra.

We were allocated a room in the Ronda section of the hotel on the 4th floor and we found the room to be large, with lots of wardrobe space, an HD TV, a lovely bathroom with plenty of toiletries and an enormous bath which was superb even for me and I am over 6' tall.

We had two double beds together. I think I'd tried to book a double but I'm not sure if the hotel does these or not. No complaints though, they were very comfortable. Quite firm so this might attract criticism from others but not me as I had a great nights sleep. We had a fantastic sea view too.

We had dinner outside as the only restaurant open was the expensive one, owing to the season obviously but we had our car so wasn't a problem. We came back and had a drink in the lobby piano bar. The drinks were reasonably priced given the 4 star rating of the hotel and the pianist was excellent.

In the morning we had breakfast in the buffet restaurant. There can only be one word for this. Excellent. I don't need to go over what was available, but suffice it to say that the choice was extensive and on the hot section there were the most perfect scrambled eggs done just how I like them. The very amiable staff brought coffee and hot milk to the table too. Breakfast really was a great experience. I think if I was spending a week here I'd be more than happy. Sadly it was just the one night but it may be that we return for a longer period maybe later in the year.

All in all then, I'm not sure I could find anything to fault this hotel. Staff, the room, breakfast and not forgetting the pianist were all top quality.

First Class Hotel at very reasonable price. Located on the outskirts of Fuengirola and not far from the castle. Secure. Spotlessly clean. Nice chilled out pool areas. Access to beach. Food excellent. Service first class. Twenty minute walk down the promenade to the centre of Fuengirola. Two beach bars close by. Ticks all the right boxes apart from the walk and need for occasional taxi.

We stayed in this hotel on two occasions last year, May 2013 and July 2013.
The May visit was for 5 nights. Our experience on that occasion impressed us so much that we booked our summer break,a week in July, in the same hotel.

The first, and most obvious advantage of the IPV Beatriz Palace is its location. The hotel is right on the beach; A door opens from the pool area onto the promonade, and a few metres from this is the ramp which connects you with the beach and its miles of golden sand. There are no roads to cross, no hunting for parking spaces, no stress, just a short stroll down to the sea. The hotel is also on the edge of Fuengirola, so it is away from the crowds and the excesses of the town centre, in a beautiful location overlooking the vast sweep of the beach and the mountains in the distance.

The hotel itself is nice, spacious and spotlessly clean, with lots of marble and wood. Reception staff are efficient, friendly, welcoming and helpful. All rooms have a view over the pool area and the beach beyond it. Pool area is quiet, clean and well looked after. The pool is an unusual circular design and quite deep. Breakfast has a good range of usual types of food and you can have your eggs cooked to order. The waiters bring you coffee and a jug of hot milk. We enjoyed the novelty of having breakfast at a table on the outdoor terrace in the gardens, listening to the sea just over the fence.

Our room, on both occasions, was a good size, with a nice bathroom and a balcony with a lovely view. Some reviewers complain about the walk into town, but don't let that put you off. The walk is really about 25 - 30 mins, right along the seafront all the way. We walked it in to town and back every night and actually enjoyed it. Yoy pass the old castle and cross the river on a new pedestrian bridge which is illuminated at night. The walk helps to sharpen your appitite and to burn off a few calories, and we all need a bit of exercise and fresh air. You also get to see how groups of local people organise parties on the beach, barbequeing sardines and celebrating life, which the Spanish people do so well.

There are, of course a few niggles; the spa looked nice, but we didn't use it as it is ridiculously expensive. Use of the spa should be inclusive for hotel residents. The evening entertainment seemed a bit lame, but not many people stayed around in the evening anyway. Ther is a huge shopping centre around the corner. You can easily walk to it if you follow the river. It has a mutiplex cinema and there are always films in english playing.

We like this hotel so much that we are actually planning to return for a third visit this year. It has everything we want.

A Well respected hotel that is very clean and tidy.we paid for half board and the only thing I would recommend is that you dine earlier rather than later.as it seems the staff like to get cleared up and get you gone! By taking the food off the hot plates and buffet tables half an hour before the restaurant stops serving. Which is rather uncomfortable when you feel you are been rushed out of the restaurant.

The Hotel was lovely, breakfast was excellent fantastic choice something for everyone. Easy to get a taxi into town around 9 euros. Efficient, friendly staff, and no waiting around when booking in and out. Had drinks in the Tapas bar and the Piano Bar, would say it was around average price. Spa was lovely, only thing was I found it difficult to get out of the jacuzzi due to walking problems maybe could do with some sort of handrail around it. The room was nice and big, with a lovely sea view from the balcony. Will be going to stay here again.
