“A lovely peaceful hotel”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

Our 3rd stay at this hotel. Its is so relaxing just the place to go if you enjoy a more relaxed break.
All of the rooms face onto the beach and are decorated in a typical Spanish style. Yes they could benefit from a makeover but they are very clean and have lots of space,
The hotel is a good stroll to main the part of town but has a lovely promenade to walk on.

Don't bother with this hotel stayed here when it was the Beatriz Hotel and it was very good but since it was taken over by IVP has really gone down hill. Rooms are dated in the old building they smell stale and need a refurbish. We were able to move rooms in the newer part of the hotel the rooms are better but would not say up to a 4 star rating. The breakfast/food choices not the best, the staff are thin on the ground and not all that friendly (especially reception staff). Wanted to use the gym and spa but opening hours are very limited. Seems to be a good choice for stag and hen parties. The whole place needs a good shake up !!!! Would rate it more as a 3 star than 4.

Not really worth it. Food is not good but slow. Nicely located next to the beach with no view of it! Could have been located miles away from the sea. No restaurants in the nearby. Good for people that only wants to be by a pool.

Stayed at the IPV Beatriz Palace Hotel & Spa for 3 nights in late April. Can not fault the hotel in any way. It was clean, good standard of services, food and facilities. Wifi was free and there is a small charge if you wish to use the safe that is in the room. My room had a fantastic view of the beach with a lovely sunrise at around 7 am each day.

If I was to be picky:

- Internet speed is not that great. Best WIFI reception was whilst sat in the toilet!
- Great breakfast buffet, but more fresh melons and pineapple would have been welcome. As well as better quality of bacon and sausage.

Would I go there again? Yes, and so should you!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool and beach.

Everything about this hotel was great. My only regret was not trying the spa. I will use that as my excuse to go back one day. This was the only hotel I saw that was on the beach without a road in between. I imagine the road would take away from the beach front serenity. The pool was very nice with plenty of chairs poolside. Beware the drinks at the pool bar are over priced. The concierge was very helpful as I'm sure he was sick of our million questions. Also helpful to have someone who speaks English. I recommend having address written down for cab drivers as they only speak Spanish for the most part. Don't miss the breakfast buffet! Mimosas and cook to order chef. Plus you can dine outside over looking the pool. I'm ready to go back!

This is a beautiful hotel. It was luxurious. The views could not be beat. We looked at several other hotels in Fuengirola but this is the only one without a street or highway between the beach and hotel. This makes a big difference to me. We slept with the patio door open so we could hear the waves crashing on the beach all night long. The free breakfast buffet includes champagne. Wow, that doesn't happen very often. The French chef makes eggs to order. Hot coffee and steamed milk are brought to your table. I paid 60 Euros a night. tax was 30 percent so 78 Euros a night. Not bad for the fact it includes free breakfast buffet. The only thing I missed was a coffee pot in the room or in the lobby for early travel starts. The coffee is served on the buffet starting at 7:30 and it is top quality coffee. I highly reccommend the beach restaurants for lunch. They sit on the sand and fish are grilled in boats filled with sand and driftwood for fuel. The wine is 2 Euros and water is more expensive but they bring the water chilled in glass bottles. There are a million places to eat near the harbor. My daughter called it International street but. But the locals call it fish street and there is every type of food you could want. We ate at a wonderful Lebanese restaurant one evening. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the office staff are wonderful. No noise heard in the room from the busy highway because every room faces the sea. Room darkening blinds are included as well as a good hair dryer and make up mirror. The fridge is fully stocked.I would stay here again. I cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: THe rooms on the first floor walk out to the pool but everyone walks by here so we chose a room on...

Nice clean rooms and reception areas. Great see views from all rooms too. Good pool area with plenty of sun loungers and shade. Beach right outside, little bit Stoney but as good as any in the area. Pool was very cold but it was only April. Plenty of other families staying so the kids wee happy. Breakfast was okay but not great choice, same everyday and the fruit was tinned too. We only had lunch there once as we tended to go out for dinner or walk down the beach and get some BBQ sardines. Drinks quite expensive but no different from any other 4 star hotel and there is a garage/supermarket across the road so easy to get water etc. it's about 30 minute walk into the main town or 8 euros by taxi which was quite nice to walk off dinner and there was some beach restaurants about 15 mins away which offered good variety of fish for around 10 euros per person, great for lunch. Didn't use the spa but it look good.
