Loved this hotel. Right on the beach. We had sea view rooms so could appreciate a beautiful view every day. Had heard before going that it was in the middle of nowhere, so we thought we would need to be relying on taxis or buses to get into the town itself. Not at all, a lovely walk along the beach or promenade at a leisurely pace will take 20 mins max.

Breakfast was fabulous. Fresh pancakes and every egg imaginable made to order and all immaculately clean. The pool area was great. Seemed to be loads of space, although I reckon in peak season there would be issues getting sunbeds. Would definitely return.

Myself and my wife are just back from 4 nights at this hotel. I asked for a high floor prior to arriving and that's what we got, with an exceptional sea view. I would recommend asking for this when booking as it makes the difference. I thought the location of this hotel was amazing, right on the beach and beside the castle which has excellent walks around it. The beach itself is very clean as was the hotel. The pool area was well though out and we never had a problem getting a sunbed. 20 min walk into the town either along the beach or the excellent promenade running beside it which suited us perfectly. Only had breakfast here and it was excellent, good variety especially the eggs cooked to order. Strongly recommend and we will be back

Thought the cost was reasonable, nice clean rooms and ideally situated just outside town. Breakfast excellent, pool very good and bar in the evening (or late at night) pleasant enough. Gym doesn't open until which seems a bit strange and you have to wear a shirt in the pool side bar for some reason.

We stayed at the ivp palace in may for ten days.on the 5th day we went for the day to gibraltar and arrived back tired and went to bed early.a couole of hours later there was a knock at the door and we discovered our family had arrived for a surprise visit.when we spoke to them they had gone to reception to ask for our room number only to be issued with a room key card which not only opened our door but opened the the safe which we had payed 23 euros extra for.we where absolutely horrified that complete strangers to the hotel staff had not only been given our room number but also the key card.we could have lost everything due to staff incompetence and breach of security. Which you dont expect in a four star hotel.

This is the second year we have stayed, and in most instances the hotel is still excellent - Senor Vasquez in Reception is first class, and the breakfast chef (Alberto) still makes the best omelettes I have ever tasted. I suspect the family are splitting the hotels up to minimise Spanish inheritance tax etc and that is why the name has changed, but the artworks are still totally unique, and the hotel has the best position on that part of the coast with a lovely walk along the promenade into Fuengirola, the Miramar shopping centre a short distance away, and a beautiful beach. The hotel itself relies mainly on tour and conference groups rather than package tourists, and that is to its advantage. The pool areas are very clean and well kept. However we felt that some of the new waiters in the dining room were not quite as good as before - a lot of staff have left, including the Head Waiter. However there is a new Head Chef, and the food seemed even better than before. The bedrooms are a little old fashioned and the beds remain extremely hard!

My sister and I have just got back from a lovely relaxing week in the sun staying at this hotel. So glad we choose to stay here. The staff were very helpful and obliging - nothing was to much trouble for any of them. The hotel rooms were a little bit dated but hey how long are you in the room. Bathroom was spacious and and plenty of hot water. Hairdryer worked very well. My only quibble was there was only one spare plug in the room. The resturant was excellent, if you couldn't find something to your liking from the vast array of food that was provided - you must be a very fussy eater. The evening service in the restuarant was 7.30pm-10.30pm and even at 10.28pm the staff were still bring full trays of food out.
Glad we visited at this time of the year as the weather wasn't too hot for us and we will be back to stay at the Beatriz Palace.
Yes - it is a good 30/40 mins walk along a beautiful promanade to the centre but if like me you don't walk fast - well take it easy - there are plenty of benches along your way - just sit a watch the world go by for a little while. Overall I would certainly recommend anyone to stay here, shame we didn't book two weeks.

Room Tip: Ask for Rhonda and try the top floor, but all rooms over look the pool and beach. We wanted a open b...

Just spent a week with friends in this hotel. Situated on the beach outside Fuengriola. Lots going on outside the resort with bars and restaurants scattered along a lovely sandy beach with loungers and thick cushions to lie on to enjoy the limitless sunshine. Pool area very nice with a beach club area for dining drinking and listening to music.
Celebs were also staying in this hotel, not going to mention names except to say nice guy !!
There are various restaurants including a Michelin star restaurant. We stayed bed and breakfast which allowed us to enjoy the hotel and surrounding restaurants bars and clubs in lively Fuengirola.
Brilliant time would recommend greatly.

Room Tip: All sea view rooms can't go wrong
