I stayed there for 2 nights (my second visit).
The staff are excellent as is the free wifi. The cafeteria serve tasty meals and snacks at a good price. Parking is only 9 euros per night.
I highly recommend this hotel for comfort and value for money.

Stayed in hotel Infanta during our visit to Jaen.
+ Hotel amenities correspond to a (spanish) 4 Star hotel.
+ Lobby area is nice with a bar and a restaurant attached to it.
+/-Room: spacious but unfortunately the bed is located very near the door which is badly insulated. You can hear the conversations from outside the room which isn't nice. Restroom is spacious and clean but the water supply installations are old (heard the water rinsing all night from the upper floor)
+ Hotel car parking is available - public parking spaces are available within walking distance
+/- if you plan to visit the (old) city center be aware: the hotel is roughly 3 Kilometers out of the main city attractions and there is a considerable difference in height. Buses do frequently pass in front of the hotel.
All in all not a bad place, considering the rather unconvenient location for tourists visiting the old town.

For the very reasonable price, especially as a single traveller, I wasn't expecting much but I was really surprised and delighted.
Yes, this hotel is on a busy road and a bit of a walk from the old town but the bonus is it's easy to find and has it's own carpark.
I had an amazing room with a seperate sitting room, a huge corner bath and a stunning view... excellent value in early september and at a time when the town was full of cycling fans for the Vuelta a Espana.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly especially Snr. Eduardo on reception.
I would suggest that when arriving with bags, drive to the rear of the hotel and pull up at the entry door to the underground carpark. From there telephone reception and they will open the door to the carpark for you and there are lifts from the car park up to recpetion.
Doing it this way means you don't have to carry heavy bags around and it's practically impossible to park on the busy road at the front of the hotel in order to unload.
Ask if a room with a mountain view and on an upper floor is available as it's better than looking out onto narrow streets and other buildings.
I very much hope to visit again and I have no problem in recommending this hotel to friends and family.

To be honest, I didn't like the mock antique style of this place. And in contrast to another contributor's opinion, I found the location poor: at a busy street, half an hour uphill walk to the city center. I wuldn't have botherd, though - it's not my livingroom and I can climb a hill. What really was a problem was the air con. It almost had no effect at an OAT of 38C (100F+). After we complained, they moved us to an other room, but it was hardly better.

Central to Jaen, this hotel is a gem. Room is large. Room service is fast and efficient. I had views of the three pools. As this is an overnighter I was not looking for views. A nice spot to stop the night if you are touring in a car or lazying your way between Cordoba, Madrid and Malaga. The drive from Madrid becomes very pretty once you hit the olive groves.

Staff greet you with a smile and are very efficient adjusting the menu readily to meet my dietary needs.

This is the third hotel I have had the misfortune of staying in here. All have been very poor.
Waiting for five minutes for hot water to come through to the shower, "narrow band" wifi and a buffet breakfast that doesn't open until 8pm are not really worth 4 star rating.

We choose this hotel on the previous reviews and had a good time. Room was large and comfortable.Clean and yes it is a little bit dated but its more because of the style of hotel rather than the furniture. Yes it's about 20 minutes walk from the historical centre and there is not much around the hotel in terms of places to eat etc. The staff were friendly. The breakfast costs 11euros per person with tax and It was the one area that lets the hotel down. No hot food just cereals bread cold meat etc and not very exciting. For this price you can usually find a great breakfast in Spain but don't expect it at this hotel. There isn't anything else close by and I think the hotel knows it. Anyway not the end of the world just don't go with high expectations and you'll be fine. Overall the city hasn't got much to do just a castle that was closed and a Cathedral like all Spanish cities. Cathedral costs 5 euros but if you go on Sunday when the church service is in you can save yourself from paying. We walked around without any problems.
