“Two star Hotel Four star Breakfast!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2012

We booked in advance and arrived in Nerja mid afternoon, we eventually found the Hotel, which is a door on a street, and thought ooer! We parked nearby and went in, what a surprise! on climbing the spotless marble stairs we we were greeted by by a lovely french couple,Robert and Clara who were so helpful and friendly, as Robert showed us up to our top floor room with a small balcony and a view of the sea, the place opened up like a tardis! The room was very comfy and beautifully decorated.Clara is a very talented artist and her paintings can be seen all around the hotel. The highlight of our five night stay were the breakfasts, served on a lovely roof terrace overlooking the surrounding rooftops, the sea on one side and the mountains on the other! Georgous fresh bread, little cakes, fresh fruit, ham cheeses and our hosts homemade jams and yoghurt.Orange juice, a choice of herbal tea or as much coffee as your care to drink! yummy! All served to your table care and charm. The location is great the square, beach, shops, and lovely eating places are numerous and just five minutes walk. We will be back xxxxx

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor and had a little balcony where you could sit and have a glass of pre d...

During our Christmas Holidays 2011/2012 we spent a lovely time at Hostal Don Peque. It is a French couple, Clara and Robert, who runs the hostel, which has a very familiar and gentle atmosphere. This is a pearl for sure. The hostel is situated in the center of Nerja close to the townsquare and the Balcon de Europa and not far from a nice little beach. We also spent a very good time on the balcony with a splendid view to the Mediterranean enjoying a nice glass of wine. Clara and Robert have a very good knowledge of the town and the surroundings, and they are extremely helpful at any time of the day.
We strongly recommend a stay at Hostal Don Peque.

Room Tip: the first night we spent in a room to the street, but had a nice double room to the Mediterranean th...

We loved staying here, the rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet, even though they looked out on the street. The rooms and stairs are decorated with great art done by Clara herself. The family have a comprehensive knowledge of the town and the surroundings are always happy to help.
Breakfast is served on the roof terrace with a view of sea and mountains, but not during the winter months, Clara will point you in the direction of a lovely and very Spanish cafe 20 paces away. Since it was very warm for February we took advantage of the fridge and kettle in the room and the bakery, fruit shop and deli on the doorstop and took our own up to the roof. Marvelous.

The hotel is spread over 3 floors above shop level and the stairs are quite steep, but someone will always give you a lift with the luggage. Parking may be a problem in summer, as it is in the heart of the old town, but we found ample free spaces 5 minutes walk away and did a lightening pick up for the luggage on the way out.

Very warm welcome from Clara. On arrival she gave us information about places to visit and hotel facilities. The room was very colourful and cheery with flatscreen T.V. (freeview), a fridge and kettle. Our room overlooked the street at the front of the hotel but was generally very quiet at night except for the odd revellers at the weekend.Fantastic location, 10 mins from bus, 5mins from beach and 2 mins from main shops and restaurants.

We took a chance and avoided the expensive choices and what a little prize we found. This small hostel is very well located just a few strides from the beautiful town center, shops and restaurants. It is very nicely decorated, wonderful owners, great rooftop terrace where we ate breakfast while watching the sun rise above the med. This time of year one has to purchase one's own food but bakeries are closeby and it's fun to shop. The rooms have heat pumps so it's easy to adjust the temp with a remote. The rooms are small but comfy and your in Spain so your out all day! A gem - we loved it and will return.

Room Tip: We were two but chose the three bed room for more space

End of March is off-season period just perfect for quiet holiday. Nerja was absolutely lovely place with temperature reaching 25 degrees and without the crowd in restaurants and on streets. Hostal Don Peque is an absolute gem. Central location with clean, tidy rooms fitted with mini-fridge, bathroom with shower, TV and access to free wi-fi. I cannot say anything about breakfast (it's being served from April) but local shops can provide anything you need and you can use rooftop as your dining area. Hosts are helpful, hospitable and really friendly. All over the place you can see paintings created by Clara - owner of this place. It was all together a perfect spring break and we're going to visit Hostal Don Peque next year without any hesitation.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The room was very comfortable and a pleasure to go back to. Only down side was our balcony looked out over rooftops. No 'lovely view' that others have mentioned.
