“A bit more quiet..”
Reviewed 12 March 2013

If you want to be just a bit outside of town where things are a little more quiet but still have all the amenities and be close enough to get into town in just a few minutes then this is the place for you. There are a few hotel choices and the beach is pleasant with great food choices available.

“Villa Fracel Punta Lara Nerja”
Reviewed 27 February 2013

DO NOT STAY HERE.

We stayed for 2 weeks, and agent kept our deposit, even though we notified him of faults#11

1 Sewage leaking from the basement toilet (which we notified agent of and no action was taken) this was unusable.

2 Terrible dank smell in the basement due to point 1 this meant the clothes belonging to the occupier had to be washed before use.

3 Broken door handle on the upstairs double bedroom which on several occasions meant we were locked in this bedroom. This had shown signs of a previous repair.

4 No maid service was received for the duration of our stay.

5 No bedding provided for the 2 downstairs bedrooms (including pillows sheets and blankets).

6 Second bed in the room advertised so bunk beds was not a bed but a cupboard with a mattress placed on top.

7 All loungers had screws missing and were dangerous.

8 Pool was not cleaned out at any point just fresh water added by handyman (we cleaned it ourselves every morning).

9 No air conditioning in the basement (this was not as advertised) this was unbearable for the teenagers sleeping down there so resulted in them sleeping in the front room which was very inconvienent as that room could not be used in the morning.

10 Patio doors were broken and we were unable to open them as handle just spun round.

11 Insuffient towel were provided so we had to wash them every other day.

12 The fridge alarm kept going off and we had to get up and press the button to stop it even through the night.

13 The coffee maker had black tape on it so we could not use that.

14 The BBQ was so dirty it was completely unhygienic and therefore was not useable.

15 Several dead cockroaches were on the floor on our arrival which means the villa was not cleaned to an acceptable standard before we entered it.

“Very nice place to stay”

Very, very nice accomodations. Excelent pool. very quiet place.
It's a bit far from Nerja's center but if you travel by car... it's not a problem. Very nice place to stay.

“In Punta Lara, Nerja - THE place is El Avalon... NONE BETTER as hotel and restaurant at great value for the cost.”
Reviewed 10 December 2012

Read my prior Review of El avalon, just off the A7 Exit for Nerja/Frigiliana. A 2 minute drive to Nerja center is a "problem"?? ENJOY the quiet Spanish life with a SEA/MTN VIEW that beats all.

“Tranquility personified”
Reviewed 1 December 2012

You can mix with the Spanish here, not hear English at the 2 eating places around the pool - a real delight
