lovely long beach, lots of restaurants right on the beach
very steep walk back up to Hotel Villa Flamenca or into town long winding less steep steps
sunbeds all seemed to be reserved the day before so had to buy a beach umbrella for some shade

By far the busiest and most active beach in Nerja, good sand with large expansive area. The sea gets deep pretty quick so busy in shallows and only swimmers out beyond 5 metres from shore. Water sports decent with parasailing, jet skis, banana round boat and canoes. Snorkelling and SCUBA all from a PADI dive centre. Lots of bars and restaurants on the front. Get there before about11 to get beds and parasols.

Got there about 3pm every day. Very busy beach. Sand not great and pebbles when you enter the sea but great once you are in the sea. Had a few days with big waves but nothing too bad.

It's the beach with the most amenities in Nerja that's for sure. Pedal boats, beach cafés and ice cream stalls make for a great day out. €3 for all day rental of a sun bed with umbrella is very reasonable and the water is very nice. For me it's not the best beach in the town (that privilege reserved for the Playa El Salón near the Balcon) but it still deserves a 5 star rating
