Disappointed to find that we had to pay 12 euros for parking.
In our room was a kettle and cup plus saucer but no tea or coffee, you could order these at a cost of 5 euros.
On the plus side the hotel was very clean and th evening meal nd breakfast were very good.

Room tip: Ask for a sea view.

This is quite a modern parador very close to the hustle and bustle of Nerja. It's located on the beach which you get to by private lift, bizarrely. Unfortunately the beach is completely rammed with little or no shade. Consequently we spent most of our time by the pool which is fabulous. It's a good size and never got too crowded. There are plenty of sun loungers dotted around the garden but, rather irritatingly, these were 'bagged' by other guests before breakfast yet remained empty all day. Why do people do that? It was strange to relax and sunbathe among loads of sun loungers occupied by the yellow towels provided by the hotel. Who were the people who brought clothes pegs to secure the yellow towels lest they got blown away and they lost their place? Room and facilities excellent. The only disappointment was the food. Booking in August you are required to go half-board so you have to eat it. It was not very good, but not as bad as the parador in Antequera - see other review.

We loved sitting on the lawn above the beach, with the ocean and mountains in our view. Then when we felt like going in the water, we'd take the elevator down to the beach, take a dip and come back up to our lawn chairs. Very relaxing, and just what we needed in the middle of a 3+ week tour of Spain that included mostly touring cities and hiking mountains.

The breakfast bar is quite ample, the rooms are very nice (but nothing special about them), and the staff are very helpful (as they were at all of the paradors where we stayed).

Worth mentioning is that there's a gas station up near the highway that has a self-service laundromat that was reasonably priced and ridiculously easy to use. It was very nice to get some clean clothes without too much fuss! BTW,there were some places in town that would take your laundry and do it for you, too, but they all said it would take them at least a couple of days to get it done.

Also worth mentioning is the restaurant 'Julie and Valeri's', which had great food, service and ambiance. See my separate review for it.

Room tip: I believe all rooms have a view of the ocean, but the higher floors are a bit better.

We recommend this Parador. Situated on a cliff top with wonderful views all round. Helpful and pleasent staff, good food and comfortable rooms. We have stayed here before, enjoyed it so much we came back for another visit.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone have been Comming to Nerja now for many years use to own a villa here, so it was nice to relax in comfort, the staff are very friendly and the food is great the only thing I would make a comment on was it would be nice to have tea and coffee refreshed in the room every day as you only get this on arrivals. The rooms where kept very clean. I would recommend this to my friends and others.
